- Use a fresh atomizer, as atomizers age they become less efficient and the flavour becomes duller.
- Mix in small batches – this is why TW sell small mixing bottles- cheaper if the end result is awful!
- Try a Low Resistance atomizer – they burn hotter often improving the flavour – though this is not true for all flavours.
- Mix in a bowl so you get an idea of the flavour from the aroma.
- Check the PG/VG ratio – optimum for flavour appears to be 80/20
- When mixing, the flavour concentrate ration should be about 25% of the finished e-liquid.
- Steep!
- Adding a drop of rose concentrate can add an oriental twist to a flavour.
- Write down your mixing experiments – nothing worse than making an awesome vape, but you can’t re-create it.
- Mix the flavour you want first – this saves on the nicotine, and means the base flavour is right – the nicotine will affect the flavour – but it will just be a case of tweaking to get it back to what you want.
