I just recently got a screwdriver and Im pretty sure I don't like it. The batteries lose power early and the hit becomes weaker throughout my workday. Does the 28 day policy cover a full return or exchange?

Hi Schwallman, The 28 days only covers defective parts I'm afraid, and it doesn't cover a change of mind. However, if the batteries don't appear to be holding their charge then that may be worth looking into. How long did you first charge the batteries for, as sometimes they need a good full cycle to kick start them. How long do the batteries take to charge (from red LED to green LED)? Have you give the SD body a good clean, including the threads where the two halves come together, and the whole switch assembly (taking it out)? You would be surprised at what difference this can make to performance, once the blackened grime is removed, especially after it has first been shipped. The batteries will fall off during the day and it is always advisable to have a spare one with you. Unlike the Tornado batteries that are designed to give a constant 3.2 volts during their cycle, the SD batteries will start off at 4.1 to 4.2 volts without load and gradually drop until they do not perform. On the whole, I have found the SD to be a great device, and I find it sad when someone is having difficulty with one. You can always call TW customer services, to see if they have any further suggestions. Good luck Tony

I charged both of them fully before use. I'm not really sure how long they take to charge. I clean it a few times a day to be honest. Im not sure what it is. I think I will try the 510 atomizer and see I that changes anything.

Ahh, you are using the 901 atomizer! This can be a dramatically different experience if you are only used to 510 atomizers. Hopefully, you will see a great improvement with the 510 with regard to throat hit. If it's the first time you've used a 901, then you may be drawing more times, or longer to achieve the same satisfaction levels as a 510, and that may be where the battery issue comes in to play? Do you have a multimeter that can measure Ohms and voltage? Obviously, I'm having a stab in the dark here, but you never know?

I do not have a multimeter. The 510 is a little better for me right now. I'll just have to use this for a bit to see how it goes. To bad the closest color they have to match is the platinum. Doesn't look as good as the silver 901

You can remove the platinum color quite easily with a little Acetone on a swab, or some nail polish remover This will give you a nice stainless steel finish, but it will also void any warranty that may be on the atty. I always wait for 14 days before doing that to mine Go at it gently though as I would imagine that it doesn't vape too well if you splash any onto the bridge A more laborious way is to use your finger nails to "scratch it off", but this can become very tedious with the paint being well layed onto the surface.

I will give it a try. I just took off a gold paint color of my older grado 325s a few weeks back. Came out nice. Used oven cleaner.

That's probably a more accessible way of doing it, but boy doesn't that stuff smell just as bad lol!

I can't put my SD down I never realy notice a drop in battery power until way after even my mega nado batts would die. Hopefuly soon I won't have the mismatch attys as I recon the platinum batts will go ok on the gold plated SD I was using the regular 501's on my SD until the tank came out now they are a match made in heaven just need a official adapter I'm using the 901-501 and a nado charge adapter atm.

Tony the oven cleaner is awful. Bodhii are you using a tank with the sd? I use the drip tip but every once and awhile it leaks, not bad though.

If you like the idea of the tank on a Screwdriver, THIS THREAD may be of interest to you

Yep my SD hasn't had a single other atty on it since the tank was released was the first device I tryed it on. I use the 901-510 adapter then use the charge adapter for the tornado to make it long enough. It's rather loud like that so I cut the bottom out of one of my tank caps and slid it up under the skirt Tonys solution is far more elegant but I couldn't wait TW does have a SD - tank adapter in the works.

So if I only have a 901 to 501 adapter it should be useable?

No unfortunately, you need the Tornado charging adapter to make the 901 to 510 longer, it is too short on it's own the reach the tank atomiser thread which is recessed into the cone shaped skirt.

You will need the 901 to 901 carto adapter. which is sold elsewhere unfortunately. That combined with the 901 to 510 adapter will give you the result shown in the other thread.
