You most probs not doing anything wrong, I had the same with mine but now been using them a for a week or so they seem to have bedded in a bit. I do find if the juice you use is of a thick consistency then the wick struggles to pick it up, so would try and use thin types of juice or I find if you mix your own then make up a batch of ag using vodka and use this. A few people have suggested that once they are filled then turn them upside down for a few minutes to let the juice soak in to the wick. This may sound like a lot of messing around but I use mine every day and have just ordered more, as they definitely give a better vape. I mainly use mine for absinthe, roast chestnut and coffee flavours, still use a normal tank for tobacco and fruity flavours as I feel that the clearos slightly warm the vapour up and some flavours suffer from it. Am sure other people will come on here and have there views.

It's really down to the fluid. Use pg fluid (less smoke) or at the most 80/20 pg/vg mix. Been there done it and was not impressed!

I just got my 2nd pack, and yes, they all taste burnt out of the box.  I have tried 10 so far, and not 1 has worked right out of the box.  Look for Astrecks post in the tips section, about clearo wicking.  It's quite simple to take them apart, and basically what you have to do is cut the area around the wicks to provide more room for the wick and fluid.  It makes a world of difference, and having only done it on 1 pack, I just did 2 of them in a few minutes.  Well worth it...  Hoping eventually they just make the slots bigger so we don't have to fix them, but again, once you do it, it's quick, simple, and very worth it.

Here's the how-to.  Hoping eventually they just make the slots bigger so we don't have to take them apart, but for the price, I guess can't really complain too much.  The idea is that where the wick goes to the element, the piece of rubber that sits on top restricts the flow... So, you want to make the slots bigger than they are.
