I have found that every time i fill my DCT it always floods.
I have put the down to when you push the cart out the other end, air inside the tank forces juice into the lil hole.
Now you will notice the tank as some play up and down when attached to your device of choice.
So what i do is push the tank up as far as it will go so that the bottom rubber seal blocks the little fill hole on the cart, then then fire up your device for 3 seconds. Repeat this 3 to 5 times and that will burn off some juice and the juice that has flooded will be soaked back up into the polyester material.
once the gargling stops then push the tank back down to reveal the hole again and all should be well again.
Let me know if this helps anyone with flooding issues

Strange, I've never had a DCT flood and don't think they should. Some people even take the whole top off precisely so when they push it back on they get extra pressure to force liquid through the hole and I don't remember them saying even that caused flooding.

Yep this will flood the carto if its already soaked. You have to remember these cartos themselves hold a lot of liquid so getting them dry completely is a quite something while using them.

If you remove the top collar fill then replace it you will force liquid into the carto from the tank. This is why I usually use a similar method of filling as the new odyssey except rather than using a fancy tool i just push down the carto and then push it to one side. This allows me to fill the tank down one side and then pop the carto back up and put the drip tip on.

I will once a week pull up the collar and then SLOWLY push it down this will push liquid into the carto slow enough the material in the carto can absorb it and keep it wet. Once a week seems enought to keep the material filled with liquid. Slower you push down the collar the less liquid gets into the carto,.

If you push it down quickly to "Snap" the collar back on then you will force liquid into the carto at force so it will go through into the center column which results in what your referring to as a flooded carto.

If this happens, Take your dct off your battery get some tissue and blow it through just for 5 secs most of the excess liquid will be blown through. Give the conectors a clean on your battery and carto then screw it back together and use.

Also worth noting if you force the collar down quickly the liquid will come right up to the mouth piece so if you use the silicone bung then you should use a little tissue in the top of the carto to wipe away any excess liquid on top of the bung before poping in your drip tip.
