Have to say Kondor I think you may be basing your opinion on one carto? Understandable - I was hanging on to my first carto and willing it to work properly before giving up and trying another.

I'm using 60/40 AG/PG and am having the opposite problem this time - I'm having to take a couple of quick hard cold draws (til I get a few air bubbles) and it seems it's not quite getting wet enough. I'm only having to do this once an hour but still, bit of a contrast to my last experience.

You could well have a coil gone too? Honestly the difference between this one I'm using and the last one is the difference between night and day. I'll keep you posted how long this one lasts, but on this performance, there's not a lot wrong with the setup.

I don't do the cold draws any more, I just give the tank a little squeeze (perhaps that's bad though) if I need too but in all honesty, I rarely need to worry about it. I do vape 80/20 PG/AG though which surely makes a difference. That's why I think it would be better if there were a couple of hole size options.

You could try taking the outer cylinder off the duff carto and drilling the hole out a little lordy, its not overly difficult to pop that outer off and swap them over but if you only have one carto left you might want to wait until you've restocked just in case it all goes horribly wrong Smiley

That's my problem see.  I expected to get longer than a day out of it and although part of me says "oh it might have been a one off" the other part of me thinks "they should sell them with more than one carto".  I am lucky I get on OK with my other devices, imagine if I had moved to this because I was already struggling though.

I promise you I am not trying to hang on to it.  It is all I can do to stop myself throwing it up the wall lol. I stopped drawing on it as soon as it went south apart from the odd toot on it just to remind myself how bad it turned so quickly.

I shall try another carto in a week or so time, see how that goes... and then trade it maybe? we will see...

Hi Kondor,

When I first looked at the site I just clicked on the links on the top of the home page. It was only when I went into the DCT section that I saw the replacement cartomisers to accompany them. I knew if I got on with it I'd be using a few flavours, so I bought a few spares mainly for changing flavours.

It's now been 24 hours and 5mls later since trying the second and performance has got better and better. Honestly a really good bit of kit.

There's a lot of reviews and 'first impressions' from a lot of forum members and their experiences are all good. Given the logic that people (especially us Brits) are more likely to complain than commend, I think it's pretty safe to say that our experiences must be one-offs. We drew the short straws!

I can say quite honestly though, that you shouldn't have any reservations stocking up on some spares. I appreciate that two cartos isn't exactly a wide-eaching test, but when you throw in all the other positive experiences that board members have had, that's a much better picture of consistency and reliability.

There can be so many variables to vaping that it makes it impossible to find an "Ideal" solution, we all have a different vaping style, we use different devices and possibly use different voltages to vape at, over the years I have developed different styles for different systems, and quickly acclimatise to what ever system I am using at the time.

I sometimes find going back to basics and direct dripping is the solution, the standard 510 atomiser with a drip tip is probably the purest way to vape, inconvenient I know if you have to drive etc, but it does have it's vIrtues Wink

I have four DCT's on the go with different flavours. As well as the original 1.5 ohm cartomizers that came with them I have used a 2.5 and 3.0 ohm cartomizer as well, so six in total. One of the 1.5 ohm ones flooded through so much that liquid was clearly visible on the terminal in the top of my Torpedo which I needed to mop out regularly. It happened whether using it or not, just seeping through all by itself. For a while it still worked to some extent, flavour and vapour still there a bit. I tried poking a paper clip up the centre hole and it wouldn't go through. Even pushing it hard just met with a blockage. I presume the centre tube had either collapsed or melted together. All of the other cartomizers work properly and have had no issues. I am using up to 50/50 PG/VG with no problems getting fluid from the tank in through the little hole. I've not needed to prime them again or do any dry draws. My view is they are a great system, plenty of capacity, no external leakage issues, they work as they should (except the one) and look great IMHO. A very suitable system for a Torpedo and they work very well on  my Echo 1300 mAh auto batteries too (with suitable 901-510 adapter of course).
