So I just got my tankomizer in and I filled it and as I did the liquid ran right back out! I understand there is a middle tube that you do not put the liquid in. I did not do this. I filled it as instructed. Nothing will stay in it  Cry any ideas?

In my experience, maybe your filling it to fast. You will always loose a drop or two...or three.....but all of it??? Try filling it slowly. Unless you are already doing that, then if you are....damage during shipping? maybe...

Yup filling it slowly. I expected some leakage, I understand when using liquid it will always be a smidge messy but it just flows right back out. Nothing stopping it. I guess it must have gotten damaged.looks fine though. Bummer. Maybe I will try ordering another one sometime.

There is no improper way of filling it.  Every CE product leaks because of design.  I purchased two and found that they both leak and get clogged up.  I don't think anyone out there is as more careful than me or research to get something right before starting on it.  IMHO, I would stay away from the CE's.  They all leak and they are meant to leak, just part of the design.  Have you tried filling a Smokymizer?  100% leak and a pain.

You need to fill them correctly, I am (or was until I got a DCT) a massive fan of the CE3 smokies, filled them time and time again with no leakage but you have to do it right. Once you get the hang of it you can fill them quickly and cleanly.

See http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/forum/cartomisers-95/leaking-smokeymisers/

I'd hate for you to dismiss them on the basis that they leak when filling, a CE3 that works well (some don't admittedly) beats everything hands down IMO.

Yeah I don't want to dismiss them. I tried a couple puffs and just from the liquid on the wicking material was awesome! Best flavor and vapor production I  have gotten so far. I am always a fan of systems that don't use polyfil like cartos do. I even tried whipping up a batch of thicker juice to put in it thinking that might help. I will order some more and hope I just got unlucky this time.

I did buy a smokymizer, unfortunately I can't find my needle to fill it. Waiting on one.

What are the chances of getting 5 Smokey's and having them all leak.  Plus, they don't send you the rubber tip to place at the bottom so it doesn't leak while filling.  I had to improvise.  I've the seen the video a hundred times and followed it down to the T.  No matter what I did, it leaked.  It always got clogged up, and the liquid would spew out from the tip as I vape.  (yes, I take light hits)

I really thought the tankomizer's would be the answer for leakage.  Unfortunately, they are worse than the smokey's.  I have an extra smokey, I will film it for you and show you how I do it.  They are suppose to leak upon filling, that's why you place the rubber at the end so there's no drip.

Yes the CE4 tankos I had all leaked when filling and I really gave up on those instantly, not just because of leakage but really bad tasting and smelling vapour I was experiencing.

With the smokies though, I honestly think you must be doing something wrong, i dont mean to be patronizing but I have filled CE3s more times than I care to remember (3 fills a day at least) and whilst I had problems filling my first one a few times, once I learned to fill them correctly it was never a problem after, I can pretty much do it in my sleep Smiley

If you buy a pack of 5 smokies then there should be a condom on the drip tip that you can use. If you fill them with the condom on, slowly of course, don't just blast the liquid in and remember to leave room for the air to escape around the syringe. You can fill them pretty much to the top but always best to leave a little air gap. Replace the bung at the top before you take off the condom and you should, at most, have a few drops of liquid that has leaked out. Then I would blow out any excess liquid by a short sharp blow down the drip tip and you should be good to go.

It could just be that you have a duff pack but I find it very unlikely that the whole pack would leak when filling, they certainly aren't designed to leak. They do however suffer from a bit of gurgling because of condensation build up in the center tube and they do collect condensation below the drip tip and that really is a bit of a shame but I used to pop off the dt and mop up any excess fluid on a regular basis to avoid a mouthful of the hot stuff.

The last few smokies I used did unfortunately develop a habit of leaking when they got very low on liquid, after re-filling they were fine until they started to get low again but you know what, I could live with that (if I hadn't moved on to DCTs now) because they are just the best vape imo. I prefer the vape of a CE3 smokie to the DCT but the added benefit of carrying so much liquid, for me, outweighs the slightly better vape and thats the only reason im not using CE3s any more. If a 6ml CE3 came out tomorrow i'd be on them in a heartbeat (hint hint TW Cool).
