Some feedback on the Dual coil tanks  Grin

I just got my delivery for the shop today so i had to test them out  Grin

The 6 ml dual coil cartomizer system clear 1.5 ohm Low resistance rocks!!!!!

I am using it on my eGo-c brushed steel 650 mAh battery and with the plinth on it looks great.

Also the fluid I am using is the titan tobacco 36 mg it has given it a great new taste that I love nearly as nice as the taste from the eGo-c  Lips sealed

The vapour is great and throat hit is good not to harsh tast and no burning  Grin

So I just had to open the 3.5 ml dual coil lime green 1.5 ohm Low resistance  Grin

I put some titan fluid 36 mg but the ry4 with my mix of glycerine.

The same results great in vapour and throat hit i then tried my booster on for size and it looks great but will have to try and get some flute lessons  Grin

All in all what a great new addition to the range its been a long time coming but finally hear so if you like plenty of vapour and love your new vaping accessories as I do you have got to go and buy some ASAP   or pop in to Kirky to try them out

Happy vaping Grin

I've been using mine with a booster... ironically, once you go past a certain voltage the vapour production seems to go down, rather than up.

The sweet spot for me seems to be around teh 4.0 - 4.2 volt mark. Any more than that and the flavour starts to suffer, and the vapour production too.

But yeah, an extra .7 volts seems to be perfect

+1 for loving the DCTs on the booster (personally 3.8-3.9v is where I like it) and agreed, flute lessons are required Wink

I wonder if joy will ever build the booster tech straight into the ego batts, I hope so as I reckon it wouldn't add too much length if was all built in.

I very much agree about the dual coil tank system. I am using a 3.5ml with TW Red Label Menthol 11mg and it's working great!

So nice not to have to keep refilling a smaller carto, and with the plinth it looks very tidy on my mega pass through Cheesy

At first I thought it wasnt wicking properly as I would often find the top of the wadding dry when I removed the drip tip, but a few priming dry puffs and it all is well again. Had only been using cartos and mega cartos recently, so I was out of the habit of dry puffing... but now I'm back in the swing of things I'm very pleased.

Nice one pillbox and all the TW guys for another awesome addition to the TW range Cheesy

I have a question re these, pardon my newbie ignorance. I just set up 2 identical set ups, These dual coils on new EgoC batteries. I set them up the same, same juice, same primer amount, same everything. One of the set ups is nice and quiet and smooth tasting, the other crackles and tastes pretty harsh. Is there something that I have likely done wrong here?

Thx

Dont see the crackling as a bad thing... what causes it I dunno
Some guesses:

As the eliquid is pulled up to the coil air is getting inside the eliquid and tiny bubbles are infused with it. When the bubble sits on the coil the heat expands it and "POPs" ...A thicker eliquid I would think is easier for this to happen. It happens to me a lot.

Perhaps on one the coil is a little bit more exposed to air .. the combination of air/eliquid/heat is just right on one to induce the popping.

The popping most likely soon disappear after some use and the coil gets some buildup as they all do..... usually is only an issue with a new atty... once broken in it should go away.

You can't use the force to get rid of the Popping sound???
What kind of a Fracking Jedi are you Darth?
I've had it! You make me want to get rid of my Blue ray dvd set now!

I'm just gonna sit here and vape on it now!
Go sit in your death star awhile and think about what force powers are all about Mr. Darth Vaper!

Like I said I don't have a problem with the popping.

Its a true mystery of the universe .... Jedi Powers or not ..... there are some things you just dont mess with.

There has been plenty of customers wanting to return atomisers that hiss and pop.
To me it's like buying 69 Chevelle and trading it for a Chevette because the exhaust is loud.

Hi there if you tap the tank against your hand you will see that it introduces new fluid to the atomiser keep doing this till you are happy you will see a small bubble moving from the 1 ml hole

The pancake syrup I vape doesn't really bubble all that well..... think I'm gonna have to either water down my mix or make the hole bigger.

Think I'm gonna try to make the hole bigger ..... hopefully without adding another hole in my hand  Roll Eyes

Not sure how long these have been out but does anyone have any info on how long they last? Ive been using the mega dual coil cartos and they dont produce good results after a few days. Im tired of wasting $10+ for a 3 pack. Also, does anyone else use them and have tried the new tank system and can compare?

Thanks

My first one lasted 7 days of heavy vaping (30+ ml) on an absinthe mix, the carto in my 6ml is still going strong, not seen as much liquid through it but that one has RL strawberry which seems like it would clog up an atty more than absinthe, it is starting to get harder to draw on but still vaping fine.

See http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/forum/cartomisers-95/dct-7-days-later-gut-swapping-a-510-dc-carto/ for what the internals looked like after 7 days vaping.

Any pics? It was something I thought about doing when I first got my DCTs but im not overly worried  it myself as i use a high pg percentage but interested to see where and how big you made your holes... also how you did it ? Smiley

One thing I noticed when I dissected my last carto was that there is evidently more burning at the top coil, thats the only reason I would add another hole I think, I'd like to add one a little higher up but i think its probably more hassle than its worth.

Perhaps it's just the RL strawberry premix im using in one of the DCTs though, it does seem to make the wicking material around the coils go very dark, almost black.

Judging by your photos these tanks still need an adapter to connect to the Ego-C battery. Mind pointing me in the right direction as to what adapter I would need for this setup? Thanks in advance

No adapter needed VapeFiend its a standard 510 connection which is what the ego c or tornado battery is.

However what your seeing is the plinth. This just screws on to the battery to make it look sleeker. It is worth getting one as without it there is a 1-2cm gap between the battery and the start of the tank so looks wierd. So screw on the plinth and it makes it look alot better but its purely for decoration.

This one if you have the 6ml tank http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/dual-coil-tank/6ml-dual-coil-tank-decorative-plinth-product.html

This if you have the 3.5ml http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/dual-coil-tank/35ml-dual-coil-tank-decorative-plinth-product.html
