Totally Wicked Flavor CompetitionCongratulations to MOOG!
If Totally Wicked had a season, it would have to be Autumn. The company founded in the Fall of 2008 within the UK, and even celebrate their American birthday just before the cusp of the winter equinox. TW encapsulates burning fires, embers, fire dances and pagan ritual intertwined with the Christian Festivals that have sprung up over the darkening months. Devils and whirling dervishes spring to mind, the crackle of flames, the scent of spent gunpowder as the UK versions of Chinese crackers (a tenuous link to the e-liquid that led to Platinum Ice), detonate for Guy Fawkes. Later, the smell of evergreen steps in as Thanksgiving sets in with all the food and trimmings. The Season of Thanksgiving culminates with the celebration of Christmas as we enter the winter fully. TW certainly has a huge choice of flavours to pick from...
‘Wick it Wicked’ – A recipe for the birth and renewal of TW
Red Heat – a touch of sweet mild chilli
Golden Spice – that warmth of ginger just peeping through, just as candied ginger was considered the delicacy of Old England
Sweet Fruits of Autumn – an autumnal fruit such as crab apple or quince, that tart taste of autumn, which also could be encapsulated in the cranberries of Thanksgiving that marry so well with Turkey
Wood Smoke – from all the bonfires, the clearing of gardens, the burning of leaves, and the celebration of Guy Fawkes... just lingering in the background
Holy incense – the addition of just a touch of the Eastern gold, frankincense (olibanum), offered up to Samhain in the guise of the Christian All Hallows Day, but more commonly linked with the gifts of the wise men at Christmas.
The Decadent Vapour - And for the birthday celebration... add a major explosion of hot, pungent red wine.
Drip it, top up your carts and ‘wick it wicked’ to your atomiser; it is sure to raise a toast and warm the iciest of hearts this TW Birthday!
