Okay, so, a package arrived with the smokeymiser durables in, pack of five since they were on 50% discount at the time, figured; I like cartos, so why not try them. Placed an order, alongside some Double Mint titan, and menthol titan fluids (I'm becoming rather jaded in my tastes, I know).
First up, they look pretty snazzy, comes with most of the kit needed to fill them, though irritatingly need a syringe to fill. (Must acquire one, and read product descriptions more thoroughly in future). After some brief time with a standard 5ml TW bottle and a craft knife, I carved down a suitably shaped nib to fit into the supplied needle and begun to fill it. Firstly, it's a messy business. liquid dripped out the bottom like it were niagra falls. le sigh. But, clever thinking and ingenuity prevailed, when I used the drip-tips supplied rubber cap to stem the flow from the bottom. (Win!). After many squeeze of the bottle it was filled, and with the replacement of the plug, fairly air-tight too. once screwed into the battery, no visible leaks were detected, so beside filling issues, I am thus far impressed with whats essentially a cartomiser version of the tank atomizer/cart combo. Vapour production was instant, and I really mean that. No cutting in period, just an instant plume of vapour on the first puff, and flavour reproduction was, I dare say, better than I recall with the Tank atomizer I'd previously used this fluid with.
There are some niggles you might have. Granted I am not using a TW battery here, mostly because I have so many from another supplier, I rarely use the Tornado batts, the buttons on them are a lil fragile I find. So the cone did not fit over it, I did try with the tornado cone, but same diff, and the threads are different anyway so if it had fitted, it wouldn't have screwed in. That said, I plumped for the purple variant, and must say, they are quite attractive in their own right, clear, filled with fluid, it's almost like an unlit lava lamp, and quite nice, if you ignore the ugly brass threads.
So in conclusion, and there will be a follow up later after I've given it a weeks usage, I have thusfar found the smokeymiser cartos to be quite a delight. once I get a proper syringe I foresee it being less niggly too. I presume these may be refilled and thus I will stick with one cartomizer to test longevity, and see how much time I can eek out of it before I get disappointed in its performance and switch to another.
PS: Hi everybody, I'm, semi, back
