Well I've just mixed up some of the new Kiwi and it very pleasant to vape. It's not overly sweet and has a nice fresh kiwi fruitiness.
I've mixed it 15% flavour but I'm going to increase it a little on my next mix for a bit more flavour.

Just watch with certain concentrates the more you add it actually decreases the flavour. I think this is like a sensory overload on the tastebuds which leaves you with a bland taste. Usually this is anything more than 20% flavour.

Glad you like the kiwi and let us know how you like it at the higher flavour %

Hi all!!
I have found that the more subtle flavours are best left to steep for a week, I use 18% flavour with my kiwi and pomegranate, mix it and then put it in the cupboard while I'm vaping another flavour Grin  I know, I know, you can't wait, life's too short, blah blah blah Roll Eyes  lol    but, honestly, if you get into the habit of making up a bottle way ahead of time and leaving it alone for a week, you will really notice the difference in the flavour!!!  Even strong flavours, another favourite of mine, lime zinger tastes really amazing after it has been left to steep!!  try it, you'll see!!!  Wink can't wait to try the Gold Standard Kiwi Wink

But, Kenneth, when I fancy a change, I look into my cupboard and there are these luverly little bottles of matured juice just calling out to be vaped  Grin  I've got four bottles in the cupboard at the moment, each a 30ml, one is kiwi, one is pomegranate, one is rainbow fruit, and one is apple Grin  In a week's time I shall be in vape heaven  Grin  the wait is soooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it !!!  Tongue Wink

I've also had a go with the kiwi (non-steeped) the flavour is very pleasant, very clean and light, most of the flavour is on the exhale. I will also try upping the flavour percent a bit for my next mix (also did 15% this time). Will be interesting to see how it tastes after some steeping.

Steeping absolutely changes any mix for the better. When we mix our liquids they may mix but don't bond together right away. Steeping allows for a superior mix truly makeing it pop! Think of it like marinating a steak. The longer it marinates the more even the taste and better flavor all the way through. Wink

If you had a one month steeped mix and a fresh mix in two seperate but identical pv's you may be able to notice. Almost along the lines of aging whiskey. My favorite. Smiley

+1 Everyone

This to steep or not to steep question seems like it is definitely up to the individual. I've tried several methods and on some flavors I can't tell a difference yet on some like chocolate mixes they seem to bloom into a much nicer flavor if left alone for a while.

Recently I have taken to nuking a bowl of water in the microwave until just under boiling temp and then I drop my new mixes in for a few minutes until I can stand to put my hand in the water and then I take them out and shake them vigorously.

I don't usually get around to them the same night but I will DD them as soon as I get a chance to see how they have turned out.

Hi everyone,
So I have tried GS kiwi, and don't like it at all, it seems to have a very funky taste to me  Cry   the GS passionfruit is too sour, the GS forest fruit very bland, the GS lemon/lime reasonably ok... Undecided   I'm not sure exactly wot's going on, but ever since I switched to 72mg plat.Ice, all my juices seem to have gone to pot, and I'm having a really hard time finding a juice that I really like.... Sad   I have gone back to my original pomegranate which was made with 52mg plat.ice (and before anyone says, yes I did recalculate!!!) and have now mixed up some of my old favourites, ones that I KNOW that I like, using the 72mg Plat.ice, just to see if they perform as before, or not......So I guess I am wondering, is it me?? or is it the 72mg Plat.Ice??? Undecided
any suggestions??  (clean ones of course!!! Wink

Hi Astrecks,
that was one of the first things that I checked and it says VG on the bottle. I only use VG where ever possible, and after recalculating I mixed as I usually do, but I dunno, something is going wrong, cos Kiwi is usually my all day vape and I was looking forward to trying the GS, especially after all the great reviews Embarrassed  Unless I can figure out what's going on, it has really put me off trying out any more GS juices.

fo a 10ml mix :  2.1ml plat.ice
                         5.5ml vg (80/20) water
                         2.0ml flavour

I left it for about a week, as I usually do.......

I've dropped down to 15mg vape and usually only like an 18-20% flavour...

Hi, the GSC flavours are really strong Maryon, maybe try 15% in your next mix, possibly even less? I love the kiwi but I haven't tried the other flavours you're having problems with. My kiwi I made up at 12% based on the others I'd tried being so very strong, and it's about spot on for me like that.

My tastebuds have become sensitive, I normally mix to 10% with RL I have found most of the GS I have tried are too strong even at 10%!

Yes, you would have to add more nicotine proportionally to keep the nic strength though  Undecided

My suggestion would be to make up some flavourless to the same nicotine concentration and add it...

So if this is your current set-up:
fo a 10ml mix :  2.1 ml plat.ice
                         5.5 ml vg (80/20) water
                         2.0 ml flavour
That's 9.6 mls:  12 mg nic and 20.8% flavour.

Make up 3 mls of 12 mg flavourless with 0.7 mls PI and 2.3 mls VG.

Add the 3mls of 12 mg flavourless... end volume 12.6mls, concentration will be 15.8%. Try this and see if it improves the flavour at all.

Hope my sums are correct Cheesy

I already thought about that Wink     I just checked my mix calculations, and I made up a 30ml bottle using the following:  6.3ml VGnic, 20.7ml VG/water, 3.0ml flavour......  correct me if I am wrong (and I often am Grin) isn't that a 10% flavour mix???   Huh

(6.7 mls PI with 20.3 mls diluent for a 12mg mix)... but yes that particular 30ml mix is 10% flavour. I'm confused as you said earlier you'd made a 10ml mix with 21% flavour...  Huh

Grin  Yes, that is what I said earlier.....   I believed that I had made a mix with an 18% flavour, which is my usual, but on re-checking my calculations, I must have entered 10% instead of 18% flavour, and if this is the case, and my 30ml bottle is a 10% flavour mix, then it is still horrible  Cry Cry Cry   I have just tried the mix again, and I can only liken it to tasting like a cardboard box would smell......horrible Cry   Oh well, it must be me, and this flavour  just doesn't agree with my taste buds Tongue
thanks for all your help, tho guys, as always you are all AWESOME Wink

Sorry I couldn't help any further Sad

If it's any consolation... I made up some liquorice GCS a few days ago and tried it today for the first time with huge excitement... bleugh. It's nothing like anyone elses review, in fact, the liquorice is only an end taste and a smell of Bassetts Allsorts in my nose for about 45 minutes after vaping... so my tastebuds have clearly taken real offence at it. I eat tons of liquorice! I was gutted!!! But I'll try it again another day to see if I get any improvement....
