Raspberry doom.

I tried the Patriot raspberry 30mg juice a few weeks ago & liked it a lot, apart from needing more strength of flavour, so I ordered two 10ml bottles of red label concentrate, assuming that the flavour would be similar & I could mix a strong batch.

WRONG!

To try it, I put 3 drops into my 3.5ml DCT tank & I certainly could taste it then! Trouble is, it's ALL I could taste & smell for hours after.
The flavour/smell is so sickly & unpleasant I literally feel nauseous if I catch the slightest whiff of it now. I had to tip away the contents of the nearly full tank & hoped that ordinary tobacco flavour would wash out the carto. It didn't, & after a couple of hours of trying to wash it through, I ended up pouring about 5mls of PG straight through it to wash out what I can only describe as the taste of cheap synthetic cake flavouring.

Sorry guys, this one is truly horrible & I guess I'm stuck with 20mls of the stuff?
I don't even dare put it down the sink in case the kitchen is permanently tainted.

 

To be honest, I'm a pretty disappointed with the promised flavours so far, apart from American Red tobacco. Everything else has been average to poor.

No chance of an exchange on the Raspberry, is there?

It just goes to show how subjective our palates are, I can't get on with most of the PR flavours myself, yet love many of the RL flavours.

I dont think there is anyway to exchange the flavour but you might want to put it up on the trades section.

To be honest I tried the Grape Patriot range and felt EXACTLY the same way you do now. Its very strong also and it smells like american concord grape or purple grape. I do like grape soda though.

Anyway It took about 2 weeks to have everything air out completely

That was about 6 months ago and iv been using titan menthol ever since. I came across this the other week and mixed up a tank for the ego c and tried it. After all this time I find it very nice and something different. Still not my daily vape but was a nice relaxing change and really enjoyed it. So you might consider keeping it until you decide one day to go back to it.

You could always try mixing it with some other flavours that you have.
Menthol mixes pretty well with almost anything fruity, and I used
to vape raspberry and coconut ice on a daily basis. Also if you have
any vanilla that could tame it down a little.

Failing that, the trades section is a great way of getting rid of something you
dont like and getting a second chance at something else

Interesting. I just ordered a selection of Patriot flavors, one of them being raspberry. I'm not overly fond of raspberry on its own but I also ordered dark chocolate and have espresso on hand. I thought the raspberry would mix well with those flavors. I guess I'll find out!

This is going to sound stupid but I'm kind of a noob. I am a raspberry lover (the fruit), does it mean I will enjoy this liquid if I get it?

Not at all stupid! It's funny but sometimes you think you'll like a flavour... and you don't. The flavours are really subjective, it shows just how different everyones taste buds are. I adore lime for example but I hate vaping lime, it's just too much for me. The flavours don't always have all the notes that the real food flavour has, and sometimes they're quite artificial. Think sweetie flavours when you buy fruits, rather than the real fruit flavours. Not even Opal Fruits (Starburst) get the flavours identical, and they use 'real fruit juice'.

Also, although the vapour from an electronic cigarette has a sweetness to it, it's not a sugar sweetness. It comes from the vegetable glycerine that is in the liquid. So the best way I can descibe flavours is to think lip balm rather than boiled sweet. It's there and it can be strong, but it's not sugary.
