Heaven is a TankDriver!

At the moment I'm through to series 3 of Battlestar Galactica and I absolutely love it.  Any US TV series coming up that I should try to catch?  And does anyone know what has happened to 'The Event' and 'Sanctuary'?  Cry

New season of Sanctuary starts this Monday Wink  I haven't actually watched the show, yet, though I was curious about it.  I like my sci-fi stuff, but just don't watch much TV and am usually disappointed by sci-fi TV shows, anyway.

Series 1 of Sanctuary was way better than series 2, I'm hoping it will pick up a bit in series 3.

The only Zombie film I enjoyed was Sean of the Dead, but usually not into Horror much.

Did you catch the single season of Firefly?  Great show and I heard it will be coming back, but on the Science channel.

I certainly did (and the final film 'Serenity') and I downloaded them all (naughty, naughty  Roll Eyes) and made them into my own Firefly DvD collection.  Firefly was fantastix.

You must watch Eureka... it's a bit spoofy but a great show IMO.. I'm a little upset that they canceled Torchwood and Sara Jane Chronicles (yep.. I liked that kids' show, I was floored when I learned she died), just about anything to do with the Doctor.

Ha, I forgot about Eureka.  It's a little campy, as are many other Syfy channel shows, but I do catch an episode now and then  Smiley

Warehouse13 was another good one.  Anybody know when the next season of that starts up?

Cool  Cool

A few years ago, it used to be you could look on a show's website and know when the next season starts months in advance, but nowadays it seems they don't announce the next air date until a few weeks before hand, if at all . . .

No more Doctor until September Sad

I was really into Stargate Universe until they cancelled it.

Currently enjoying the new Camelot series.

Have you watched Fringe, that is really good.

Yeah I loved Fringe although I'm still trying to get my head around the ending, if Peter never existed then why were Walter and Walternate in the same room at the end.  Undecided

Farscape rocks... too bad all the good ones get canceled or "changed" (or moved to channels that I pay no attention to)... I started to like alot of shows, like Night Rider (the new one.. still a fan of the odl one), the Bionic Woman (the new one), etc.  I didn't care too much for BSG (only because of over acting and it was a pale imitation of the origional... and I abhore the over use of flash-backs), but I did like Caprica (gone before it's time IMO).

Well... Farscape wasn't for everyone, at least it was better than Seinfeld (that was nothing but the same thing over and over again), then there was Sliders, My Secret Identity, and (dating myself here) Greatest American Hero; all good shows, but quite repetitive. Even Doctor Who has had a few remakes of previous episodes, albeit good remakes.
As for the last episode.. I happened to like the Peacekeeper Wars (the last few episodes), kinda brought everything together and made a proper ending of it all.

Iam a big anime fan.  Another good one I just finished was Basilisk. which is about two fueding ninja clans in 1614. Iam just glad that netflix started putting some good ones on. I was spending about 2-3 hundred every pay check on movies. Only problem with netflix though they have a lot of crap anime on insta play and I dont feel like getting dvds sent to my house. But I prbably will since the neon genisses evangelion series is DvD. Also the anime Trigun has a new movie coming out called badlands rumble. Its been out in japan but it will be in theaters in the US and Canada in june/july. One thing that might suck is they are making a live action cowboy bebop and a live action ghost in the shell. Why must they do that. Iam a movie/anime nut. but not to the point were Iam dressing up and going to conventions

I quite liked the live action Crying Freeman... thought they handled it pretty well. Not handled quite so well, but still an enjoyable 'live action cartoon' was Fist Of The North Star.

never got into darker than black. Iam just got finished with trinity blood and now watching moribito. I might try darker than black after this series. another good one is shiguri death frenzy. I own that one. Its one of the few animes I bought without knowing anything about it. Thats the one thing with animes if your going to buy them make sure you try to watch a couple episodes before you buy it. I have a couple that are complete crap but I got them cheap being that they were used. Also word around is they are making a third seaon of Ghost in the shell S.A.C. If that is true I cant what for that.  Grin

that's the one thing I don't like about netflix most of its dub and not sub. I love sub. All the DvDs I have I never watch them with dub always sub. maybe I should start another poll sub or dub. Its gotten to the point I can understand some Japanese. I was shocked when I went to watch Inu yashi and it was sub. It took me 2 weeks to watch all 170 episodes of the regular series.

Good selection there FatBasta, I actually cried real tears when Buffy ended  Cry  Head over heels in love with Spike but when I saw the actor again in Caprica I couldn't believe how much he had aged.

I heard that there was not going to be a Season Two of Camelot.  Why oh why do they bring these great programs out and then cancel the %$@#+*& things.  Angry Cry Huh Shocked Angry Cry Huh Shocked

I couldn't agree with you more Kate, not about Camelot cause I haven't seen it, but the cancellation of so many really good shows.
Most recent disappointment was Stargate Universe, canceled after two meager seasons and to top it off, it was left hanging with no closure as to what will happen.

Huge sci-fi fan myself, I have watched at least 99% of the programs listed in this thread.

Survivors was a good BBC show( on netflix insta play). Its about a virus that pretty much kills everybody. And then there was another good American show Kings that got the ax before it should have.

Aye Survivors was brill, (the original version and the remake) haven't watched Kings yet.  I too am p1ssed off with 'Game of Thrones' - only 10 episodes and now we have to wait until April 2012 for the next 10 (if we're lucky)  Angry

Kate, you have to think about Game of Thrones like eating at a fancy restaurant, the portions are small but the taste is magnificent!!
Hang in there! We're all in the same boat.

You should create an account at myepisodes.com, it's a site that helps you keep track of the episodes you've watched from different shows and it tells you when they air.

I've been using it for years and it's just really, really handy!

I've got to check out Game Of Thrones.  I thought the title was just coincidence, I only just recently found out it's based on the book and I've heard it holds quite true to the storyline.  HUGE George RR Martin fan, here  Smiley
