I wanted to answer this one while I could check the lower box, cause In a 2 years I'll have to check the 40+ box.
I'll be 38 in a few weeks...

My kids, now 24 and 21, still ask for stories about the black and white days !!!

My gran, a pit-man's wife didn't like to waste hot water on a wash day.
At 5 year old she used to chuck me in the twin tub, if she'd just finished a light wash.
If I were a good lad, and washed properly, she would switch on the rotating bit.
My own Magic Roundabout...... lol
One day I began shouting ' GRAN, GRAN my feets HOT'
My grandfather walked by, flicked a switch and shouted, 'ELSIE, YOU LEFT HIM ON BOIL !!!!!!'

The grand old dinosaur days of outside toilets & tin baths.... Smiley

I find this poll quite interesting, although I know it's just people that are on this forum.

As some of you know I am preparing a speech for my public speaking class, and I have read way to many websites, and watch way to many 'news' clips about e-cigs....way more than a few really stood out in my head as total crap. Quite a few of them were television station news clips talking about "mall kiosk" selling 'yummy fruity' flavored e-cigs, and how this 'appears' to be done to attract younger users. According to this poll, most of the users on this thread are over the age of 30 (me included). I guess acording to these "news" stories 31-40 is the younger crowd!  Wink

In younger eyes ecigs are distinctly "un-cool", also instinctively, youngsters like to be rebellious and do things that present an element of danger.
I also think youngsters believe they are invincible and start to smoke thinking they can stop at any time, it's only when you hit your 30's you realise you are not invincible, and stopping becomes really difficult.

The media have the impression that teenagers that are legally too young to smoke can be tempted to buy fruit flavoured ecigs, Although in the long run ecigs are less expensive to use the initial set up cost I think is to prohibitive for teenagers to even consider apart from the "un-cool" factor. I believe the media (here in the UK) is thinking in the same vain as with alco-pops, the difference is they are cheap, affordable and very colourful.

This poll has changed over the years as it was the 50+ that was leading for a long time, the 30 something's are cottoning on now  Undecided

You'd be looking at £3 for a bottle of WKD these days which is extortion when you think you could get a decent pint of lager for about the same or a little more.  Shocked

I am 30. My mind feels 21 and my body feels 60. S i guess when you split It it comes out about right.lol I live and love life age dose not matter. It is just a number once you get older. I remember saying as a kid I want to be 16 so I could drive, then it was 18 to vote and smoke then 21 to drink. Your car insurance drops at 25 after that there is nothing to look forward to except waiting for you senior discount at the resaronts.lol
