I'm 54. My 82 year old Mom is in the hospital recovering from pneumonia partially caused by her COPD, but also by her Stage IV lung cancer. She smoked for 62 years. What else is there to say?

25 years old - feeling like I'm in between 80 and a comatose state of mind...  My son (he's 4,5 years old, running around without a single problem in his head other than his mom doesn't feed him enough cookies) asked me the other day, if I was going to die... I replied, that you have to be very old to just die. Then he burst into tears, and wouldn't stop crying. After a while he finally got back the ability to talk again and said: "I don't want grandma to diiiiiiiieeeeeee!!!!" .... I burst into laughing... My mom has just turned 57, and she's never sick with anything else but the flu once in a while or a cold... My son then just thinks I'm semi-old... My mom is apparently a dinosaur...  |
