Hi all

I switched to vaping on 17 April and haven't looked back, but I have just started to constantly clear my throat.  Is that a side effect of giving up analogues?

Spent £8.50 p/w on GV, Rizla's & filters.  Don't see it'll be cheaper, but see it as a healthier more accepted alternative. Smoked between 10-15 per day. My first purchase ... Tornado-T.

Hi Kriss, it could well be a 'side effect' of vaping....if you haven't increased the amount of fluids you drink then vaping can cause dry throat etc which can get quite uncomfortable. It could also be from the lack of all the junk in ciggie smoke and your system starting to expel some of the build up.

I did think maybe it was the change, but don't want it to be!!   I have read VG can maybe cause this but have only used PG, so I hope it is because of stopping ciggies ... and that it passes quickly!!  It is so annoying, I'm sure it's going to give me a sore throat.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess it is after I've been vaping  Embarrassed.  But I don't want to stop as if I do I'll go back to analogues!

No, no ulcers ... what's your remedy though.

I suffered from them terribly after about 3 or 4 months of vaping and also just a little in the beginning.  Some times I would have 5 in my mouth at the same time!   After doing a lot of research on the internet, I found what works for me to take L-Lysine and Probiotic Acidophilus (vitamins) daily.   IF I feel like I'm getting one, I immediately put Tea Tree Oil on it every couple hours (like maybe 3 or 4 times) and it is gone before it ever got painful.   Tea Tree Oil is NOT tasty, but it is bearable!   I usually try to dry the area before putting it on and then spitting any saliva I have right after I put it on.
