cleaning atty from menthol

Hello out there,

I made the huge misstake making a mix of menthol since I was about 110 % sure of I would hate it 
But since so many here seems to love it I had to try it.

I made a mix with 8% DV Menthol flavour put some in a cart and the cart in my tornado atty.
When I started to vape it, Oh my god I feelt like my inside was on fire or something!!
I dont get it, it is so awful 

Now I am trying hard to clean my atty.
I blew it out right away after only like 4-5 vapes. (I had to try a couple of time if the previous vape was as horrible as it was...)
cleaned it with soft paper and are now vaping pure AG with it.
The taste is almost gone but there are still some left that dont seem to go away.
Any ideas of how I can get it more cleaned? Or the bin next maybe ?

Sadly it will probably take a lot of cleaning to get rid of menthol, that and your favourite absinthe are almost impossible to shift from an atty 
You've done all you can, blow plenty more neat vg through it before trying another vape and if the atty is still not tolerable you may have to go for a boil method or coke bath. 
I'd put your strongest mix of absinthe in it and see if it's bearable, it should subside eventually with another really strong flavour to kill it.

I should not have done it.
I dislike menthol that much that I dont even like to brush my teeths due to the toothpaste that almost everytime is menthol tasting.
The taste almost makes me do the unspeakable 
But I had this crazy idea that it would be good to vape.

I will try to kill it with other flavours as well as cleaning it.
If it will not go I will take the lesson and bin it.

You might strip the paint off your atomizer, but it will get rid of it. For example, I tried the Green Cow
a couple of days ago. I'm not really sure if I like it yet and don't have such a good stock of atomizers
that I can just dedicate one to Green Cow.

So, a soak in boiling water plus a good wash out with isopropanol. It took nearly a whole tank of
American Red Tobacco after that but now it is really gone. You can get isopropanol at Kjell & Co (a Swedish
retailer) and it is pure stuff. I also use it to wash out my syringe that I use to refill my tanks and
it works a treat!

isopropanol sounds a bit drastic, but if nothing else helps I Might go to claes and get some.

Have you find out any places to get syringes in sweden? Dont need the needles.
The ones the pharmacies sells as means to meassure medicine works really bad.
Gotta have good ones that works as they should.

Syringes in Sweden? Sadly not, you know how it is here. I guess that you might have better
luck in Malmö - at least they have an exchange there! But enough about Swedish politics.

Really, the isopropanol is not too bad. If you just drip it through the atomizer from the battery
end after a good soak in very hot water, it will save your paint and really give it a good clean.
Isopropanol is not particularly toxic (unlike methanol) and any traces left will totally evaporate
if you leave the atomizer overnight. Most importantly, the solvent will dissolve any oily residues
left behind on the atomizer coil from some of the flavours. Water alone just won't have the same
effect. Also, as far as the isopropanol goes, make sure to drip it through the atomizer while
it is still hot from the hot water bath. (Use some tongs to hold it!)

I had a syringe with a blunt needle from an inkjet cartridge refill kit. That's a 30ml one and I
found a 3ml syringe that my ex had left behind from the days when she was studying to be
a nurse. I can honestly imagine that there is nowhere in Sweden to buy syringes, even without
needles, unless you have some magic piece of paper from a doctor.

i seem to remember a post from TonyF where he tried to clear some menthol out with some roast chicken flavor but only ended up with menthol chicken.  if you intend on using menthol in a device you should intend in sticking with the menthol Knoton.  I hope some of the suggestions here work for you.

Lettie, I am using Firefox.
With that browser you can get and use addons.
I have a addon called Emoticonverter, with it you can "steal" smillies by just clicking on them and add them to a database.
When you can easily select smillies from that database and post them anywhere.
