I want a pv that lasts all day with good throat hit and flavour.
I was going to wait for the Odyssey but I want 1 now, being I
am an impatient sod Smiley

if I buy a tornado kit what perfect tank compliments it?
If I buy a torpedo, same question,

I tried the Screwdriver, bought 1 2 weeks ago and whatever
I do i just can't get a decent throat hit from it.

What are your suggestions, i want something stylish, i find
the egos a great vape but just ugly.

I have a twist, I'd prefer something I put the batteries in,
so I can't have some artwork done to it, rather than the body being
the pv if you know what I mean.

I'm currently using a Tornado battery with a ce2 on top. I think this combination works really well but the ce2 can be a bit fiddly and high maintenance at times. I've got the "short" ce2 variety at the moment but possibly the longer ce2s are better.

Hmm ok I get you.
How about a torpedo chrome kit http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/variable-voltage-devices/kits/torpedo-chrome-vvv-kit-product.html
I can't vouch for this as I dont have one, but it does look very nice.
And a DCT to go along with it, these I can vouch for, ive been using one for months and it really is fab http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/cartomiser-systems/dual-coil-tank/6ml-dual-coil-tank-single-2-product.html

Really tempted to click buy on the torpedo kit but I see
the atty on it is 3.0, will that provide a decent enough throat
hit?  Sorry if I'm being a noob, what I understand is that lr attys tend
to provide a better throat hit.

Just I started vaping about 6 weeks ago and don't want
to keep buying pv after pv, currently I have 3,and the ego
v6 although great looking has pissed me off as the taste
on the ce6 clearomiser it came with is awful, it's almost like
vaping rubber.

I'm finding the Odyssey and the tornado t  low res really hits the spot. I save the Dct for work so I don't have to fiddle around.

The point of the 3Ω atty with the Torpedo is that you can turn the voltage up

Hmmm ace8ball... can I ask what atomiser system you use on your SD?

Can I also ask what atomisers you own at the moment?!

This might help us a bit in guiding you Smiley

Thx chops, any advice would of course be very welcome,
I was using the atty that came with the SD, i thought bought a
atty and still not strong throat hit, maybe I have faulty batteries
as most people seem to be very happy with their sd,

I use ce4 clearomisers on my ego T which are great,
I use ce6 clearomisers on my ego v6 which are ok but
need to be re primed alot.

I also use 306lr atomisers on my ego T which are great
but I don't really like dripping.

The 901 which comes with your SD kit  takes a little bit of getting used to and has a 'breaking in' period which can mean that you don't get to the full potential of the atomiser for a day or two! It has a lot of quirks including the need for a cart which must be kept nicely moist and in contact with the bridge of the atty. If you look down into the atty you can see the bridge as a little strip of very finely meshed metal in the centre of the atty. You can try dripping just one or two (no more) drops of liquid directly onto this bridge, replacing the mouthpiece shell that came with your kit (not the cart with wadding in) and see if that gives you a little more vapour. This is called dripping. A good 901 atomiser, when it's up to speed, will glow when you drip a drop or two of liquid onto it and activate the SD switch... you don't need to replace the mouthpiece to see this, just drip, fire and take a look. If you fire the 901 whilst dry you run the risk of burning the atomiser out so don't do that unless you've wetted the bridge Smiley

The 901 atomiser is becoming outdated with many people preferring to use newer atomiser types, cartomisers, DCTs etc. It can produce great vapour and throat hit when well broken in, but (from a personal pov) there are better attys out there.

You will be surprised how good the SD is if you get your 901 well broken in or even try out a different type of atomiser system... for many of the other options out there you'll need an adaptor for 510 fitting atomisers.

Oh, another quirk of the 901's is the lovely factory primer that needs to be burned off before you start to vape properly. I have a feeling that you may have vaped a few mouthfuls of that stuff which wouldn't help your opinion much Cheesy

I suspect you don't need a whole new device right now, you just need guidance on 901's and/or a good alternate atomiser system for your SD...

You just need this:

and combined with an eGo-C atomizer  you're laughing Grin

can't loose with the new torpedo chrome full size and mini, plus the new odyssey looks very promising.
you can add the dct to the torpedo, but the odyssey has it's own so the convience factor may be higher with the odyssey.
look at both and don't be afraid to ask others how they like theirs and how it works for them and may be that could help with your
purchase. good either way and always don't be afraid to ask question.
Your on the right path!

It’s got to be the cheapest option to get a versatile PV if you already have an SD

Hi Ace8ball,
Chops and Cyborg are right in what they say.....
Personally I feel both the Odyssey and SDII (with 501 adapter) are brilliant for different reasons....
I would say SDII is more compact, lighter, and a wee bit more discreet than Odyssey.
However, Odyssey is one solid, weighty, well crafted piece of hardware, if you can wait.., especially if considering artwork?
This is my next step, to find a good engraver, buy a second Odyssey and have it tattooed....
I won't do is engrave my present one, as is a first generation, lightly flawed - destined to become collectable one. Smiley

Yeah, I'm going to buy an Odyssey, I might just get the serial number engraved but I'd love an ace of diamonds with an 8 ball in the foreground, I might even get a similar tattoo on my shoulder.

Good call re engraving tattoo...
Seriously, the pics don't illustrate how much better the quality of materials and finish is on Odyssey compared to other stuff...
Is definitely the optimum choice for engraving etc...
Worth waiting for

Thanks for the info Troy, it's between a torpedo C and Odyssey for me, can't decide which, I only got my most recent pv last week and happy with it although the ce6 clearomisers need to be re primed alot, just ordered a TW dct for it, but I have shiny syndrome and just can't stop buying stuff, hopefully the torpedo C or Odyssey will be so good that I won't have to.

I don't think the Shiny Syndrome Disorder will go away, however you won't be disappointed with DCT's.
Just make sure you prime them properly.......
There's all sorts of methodology posted throughout, but if you don't mind wasting a few drops of the precious e-liquid, it doesn't matter if a wee bit goes through the middle...... I just give them a blow through once primed, prime again and blow through again - nothing worse than a burn't carto, for the sake of complete priming.....

That's great, the ce6's leak alot, crack quite easily apparently although mine hasn't yet, the issue I have is lots of burnt flavour unless I re prime the wick often, the ego v6 vv starts at 4.0 volts too and I'm discovering that I think my sweet spot is between 3.2 and 3.7, I find 4.0 and above tends to taste slightly burnt occasionaly although maybe that's just the ce6.
