I have done some research on PG and the associated health risk from several websites here in the USA. This one eliminates the health risk by having done extensive animal studies. I thought that would be important for many of us to know because the controversy continues. http://www.aalmannai.com/tag/polyethylene-glycol-e-cigarettes/

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this up. I hadn't read this particular info. I don't always get on here as often as some. So I sometimes miss things as stuff can slip down the lists pretty quickly!  Wink Very interesting, let's hope further studies will contine to add to our case!  Smiley

I had no idea that people thought that PG could be a health risk.
Are there any other true or untrue claims about e-cigs not being healthy I dont know about?
I dont know anyone except for the substance diacetyl...
And ofcourse the obvious about nicotine...

The FDA seems to think vaping is unhealthy..... Until proven otherwise we still have to edit posts     Roll Eyes

They do think vaping is unhealthy but it's not the PG they are attacking. It's the nicotine.

It's more then the Nic

Not all glycerin is good either ... some are produced with synthetics.

How eliquids are produced is of concern to them.
All the ingredients are a concern... flavorings included.
The true grade of the ingredients are a concern.
Cleanroom conditions in the factories are a concern.
How it is marketed is a concern
Lack of accountability is of concern.  Batch records and so on
How it is packaged is of concern
How it is labeled is of concern

If this wasn't..... vapes would be a pharmaceutical product.... 1000's of vendors and not a one has pulled that one off yet.... why should they try... there pulling in millions and millions selling it without any real regulation... Even the government is looking for the best way to flow some money there way.

Now that it is classed as a "Tobacco Product" in the US don't think it really matters any more. I think carcinogens, and other chemicals are allowed. They are in cigarettes, cigars and such

It really boils down the the Manufacturers and the Vendors now .. It's a product with a lot of potential ... Government really only cares about taxes.

To be honest it's about the nicotine and the children over here. The grade of anything is always a concern. That goes without saying when it comes to ingestion or inhaling a substance. The nic is a drug. Over here in the states it's more of a concern that vaping will encourage minors to start nicotine intake as it's an electronic device and looks cool. Over here it's accepted openly by doctors and alike as a safer way for adults to get nicotine. We have commercials and ads everywhere. Every corner store carries a cheap model ect ect ect. It's not backed by he government because they haven't laid out a plan to control it yet. That will happen soon. I'm sure of it. Only reason it's not NRT is because the government wants to make money off of it. If it's NRT they can't tax it like they do cigs.
Off subject,
Did you know in California USA there is a city that has this crazy law about smoking that really isn't all that crazy.
NO SMOKING INSIDE YOUR OWN HOUSE IF CHILDREN ARE PRESSENT. $1,000 fine!

If vaping replaces analog's, the US itself would lose a lot of money.  So it becomes a money issue, not health.  The US could care less about your health as long as the money is being generated off of analogs.

Don't want to break any rules of the forum, but I agree with this wholeheartedly.
