Hi All,

I have been using the DCT now pretty much since release, am very happy with it and planning on ordering an odessy as it sounds like the few small issues I have had have been solved with the oddessy.

One thing I have noticed though (not with every cartomiser but 3 or 4 now) is that the hole at the bottom of the carto (feeding liquid from the tank) seems to be in a slightly different place on some of them. This means the hole ends up closer to the base of the tank, and for some reason is severly impeding the flow of liquid, to the point where I get the dreaded burnt taste! I have tried thoroughly cleaning all the parts involved as well as refilling the carto in case the change in pressure might awaken the flow of liquid, but to no avail, and usually the atty burning causes me to have to throw it away much sooner than I normally would as the flavour gets tainted.

Becoming quite frustrating... especially when it's my last carto and I have more on order (despite TW's impeccable delivery sometimes even a night is too long to go without! hehe)

Wondered if anyone had experienced the same problem as me and could suggest anything that has worked for them?

Also, I think I heard in Jason's sneak preview of the Oddessy that the dual coil carto's will have two holes, can anyone in the know confirm or deny this please?

Hope everyone is well!

Cheers,

Rich

That was well spotted! I've got some of the single holed ones that came with the (DCT's) tanks. I'll have to take a look now you said. It might explain (some of)  the wicking problem.

So yeah .. the DCT's holes are crazy different.  I just finished off the last of my single hole cartomizers and I just put a fresh two hole carto in about 3 minutes ago .. WoW .. that is one helluvah difference in vapor and pull.  I hit that think like it was an auspicious date in April because that is how I've been used to pulling on the single hole cartos..   It made me light headed..

I am now going to have to refine my vaping strategy.

Hi Casey,
Thanks for the reply! So nice to know it's not just me! Have ordered my Odessy now, along with some dual hole carto's, so with any luck both of these wil solve my problem!

Thanks for putting my mind at ease,

i've heard varying opinions on the 1 hole versus 2 hole punched cartos.  for me, the one hole works well.  very well in fact.  i would speculate that 1 hole punched cartos that don't seem to deliver juice to the filling are those that do not have a sufficient punch and i have recommended widening the hole by pressing a point (such as a nailf) into the hole and reaming  it out a bit.  i have heard that the 2 hole punch cartos flood but as i have not have had any i can't speak from personal experience.  i am however willing to try one.

To be honest iv not had a 2 holed one flood but it works best after a night of sitting soaking up liquid from the tank. This is probably since the more holes in the car to the more outlets for the liquid to run back out so if your using a new one trying to get flavour fro a fresh primed car to is hard to get it to retain liquid right away as it runs out the holes but leave it overnight in a tank and it works well

+1 JohnEAngel & Kenneth131

I did widen the whole on one of my single hole carto's today to see how it works compared to the the two hole cartomizer.   I will post back with results when I get off my arse and motivate myself to fiddle with the second tank.

Hi Guys, have tried a nail to clear the hole, but still no luck.

In general, when they work I am very pleased with the single hole cartos, it's just now I've had 3 or 4 out of thirtyish that ive been unable to use properly that I thought it would be worth asking if anyone else had found a solution.

Will post my opinions on the two hole carto's when my oddesy arrives, but thank you for the advice about leaving it over night!
