Hi gang,

Not sure how many have tried this or seen it, this was just a view I had  to share,

When i bought my SD I tried to kid myself about the slightly higher voltage as the reason for wanting it. Truth is, I wanted it as it's a great looking bit of kit.

Well, I married it with my DCT tonight. All I can say is... they were made for each other:(excuse pic quality... iPhone in low light  Angry)

Still, very nice non the less Lordy. You have exactly the same set up as me in that pick.. Red tank on a silver SD.. Class!
I've had to swap mine over to the ego c batts now though, as I've got the strangest thing going on with my SD. I went to pick it up the other night..and the whole thing was red hot!?  Huh I mean, I couldn't even hold it in my hand?  Shocked
The weirdest thing about it though, was that I couldn't here the atty making a sound but it must have been activating as otherwise what else could cause it to heat? Now I'm finding I have to keep checking it all the time..so kinda put me off using it at the minute!  Undecided   Sad

Ps.. Don't worry about going away for a week.. You want to try 5 months like me.. Then you'll know what it means to be out of touch!  Roll Eyes  Smiley

Cheers.  Wink

That doesn't sound good! For me when the device got hot it was because it was shorting out.

Is the spring nearest the atty end retracted at all? Has the battery started rattling?

Got to be honest I was unsure about using the decorative plinth without having an O ring like Cyborg's using for exactly that reason. I had negative experiences with CE3s on my SD so I'm very cautious these days over using anything that could cause a short.

Well.. I've not had a chance to try the CE3's or 4's yet. Maybe on my next order. I am loving the 2's and the DCT's and they work great on standard and SD bases for sure!  Smiley  just need to do some maintenance on my Screwdriver and then it will hopefully be back in the game!

Good to hear your enjoying your current set up milspec.. That's always nice when you hit a good balance like that.  Cool

Nice  Wink
