Or otherwise known as Obessive Vaping Disorder.

I was reading something earlier today on the forum, can't remember where, but somebody suggested that being part of this forum was one of the reasons why folks here did so well with vaping; the community, the help etc. etc. almost like a little self help group. And I have to say, I think to some extent that is true but...

I was also thinking how in such a short space of time I have ritualised the whole vaping process; my flavours now have thier own little plastic container, and the boxes are all turned upwards so I can easily see at a glance which is which.

My tips, spare atty's batteries etc also are similarly lined up and neat and I seem to spend at least a few minutes each day organising and ordering things; I also religiously wash out my tanks each evening and blow out my atty's and prime a new one for the next day before I go to bed.

Even vaping itself has become ritualised, I found I prefer the clear whistle tips because before I sit down for a vape I can tip the TT to see how much juice is left, I've found my optimum vape and now internally count as I draw and never do any more or any less even if the resulting vapour in my mouth doesn't feel quite the right amount, mustn't break the count Wink

I know I know I sound like I ought to be commited, but maybe this is why I am liking it so much this time round, my inner OCD is allowed to roam free.

So then I wondered how many of the long term vapers on here are similarly afflicted, or whether I'm desperately grasping at straws to try and prove I'm not certifiable Wink

in the short time i have been on the forum i have

bought a specialised box to keep my bits and bobs in (now its to small)
i have bought special containers for my mixes
i have spare items all neatly in a row, i take a spare to work
i have already decided whet to buy next and what to experiment in

the way i vape is clinical, i even have a special angle i turn the mouth piece in comparison to the battery button
so its more ergonomic to press with my thumb

in short you are not alone

Self help? Undecided .... nope, no way.  I'm not going to help myself.  If I can't make it on my own without any help from me then I'm not deserving of my help. Undecided Huh

Oh, but you are Tara. Wink  Embrace it.  Own it.  Be proud of it.  I have my certification framed and hanging on the wall of this forum for all to see. Cheesy

This whole vaping lark has become an obsession for me.  And I've found I can live with that. Grin

Obsession - who's obsessive? Wait a moment it's 11 minutes and 11 seconds past 11 so I have to vape 11 times on my 11th flavour.... There that's better.  Now where was I?  Oh yes 'Obsession' wait.... it's now 16 minutes past 11 and I know I've got to do something but I can't remember what..... see what you lot have done?  If I don't do something now the world will end, and and and .....and

I definitely have more than a touch of OVD. I'm very particular about my e-juice box, all the labels are lined up perfectly and I have premixes arranged by flavour range, so fruity, then tabacco, then coffee, then creamy etc. My syringe (that sounds so dodgy) and pipettes have their own special home in a little looped velcro holster, and I have the mixing date and recipe formula of each of my own mixes recorded on bottle labels in obsessively neat little ant sized writing. All my cartos are labelled too, according to flavour.  And If anything breaks loose in there, I have a mild freak out and have to sort it out ...man that's sick!

But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm enjoying my  disorder. Cool

@ K8 - hey, you know about the whole Uri Geller 11:11 phenomena thing? Just sayin'......  Huh Roll Eyes

Well, "hobby" is a word for it I suppose...... Undecided  So are "obsession", "compulsion", and "addiction".  All three of which come closer to describing my relationship with vaping. Wink

Well my collection is more like organised chaos (which is a bit like my life in general). I have 2 stationary boxes with 4 drawers in each (each drawer is big enough for 10 DV concentrates) and an A4 sized file box (all matching of course lol). The drawers are filled with concentrates, duel coils, pre-mixes, mixes and various other bits and pieces. The file box has all the bigger things, VG etc and i went all Blue Peter on it by cutting up cereal boxes to make compartments lol. On my computer desk is 10 bottles of my mixes and 7 duel coils and 2 clearos which are what i've been vaping today (did i mention i change flavours alot Wink ). The only thing i'm ocd about is i won't mark the actual duel coils because it will make them look bad so i mark the caps. I'm about to put everything back in their properly marked drawers but i'm not OVD.....I'm not, I'm NOT OVD;D

Yup, count me in for the certified obsessive vapers club. Only 21 days vaping, but I'm already desperate for TW to
get some more boosters in stock. I've a funny feeling that come payday, I'll be having a conversation with myself
that goes something like this: You don't need more shiny things! But I'll be saving 2500 kronor this month not buying
cigs! You already have ten different flavours. But I want more! etc, etc.

Somehow, I know which side of that conversation is going to end up winning! Cheesy

I don't know if this is true or not (have no firsts hand knowledge), but I have heard the most dangerous thing in the world is a women hell bent on spending money.  Then you add in the nicotine.  Men stand back.  You could be seriously injured Tongue

 Cheesy

If TW don't get those boosters back in stock soon then there is a serious danger that a Provari might
be causing a serious meltdown on my credit card. I heard that Mr 8Ball's card recently burst into flames
and that he was still nursing the burns - it may be my turn next.

This hobby is even worse if you are into the electronics part of it and variable voltage vaping really seems
to be the right way to go.

I wonder if this 'new product' that Joyetech still have not revealed might be exactly that: a VV vaper?

Money on it anyone?  Wink

b3ast1e, I don't know if I should hug you or find something blunt and heavy....

When I looked earlier today there were none, but as you say - they are in stock!

What was that internal conversation again ....."You don't need more shiny things" ...
"But they have boosters again!" .... "You don't get paid again until Tuesday next week" ....
"I have credit left" .... "You can wait" ..... "But there are only 47 left, they'll run out!!!"

Bugger.

Gah, sorry bro *ducks out of range*. If I recall, the last stock took about a fortnight to sell through, doesn't seem it takes TW long to get stock in from Canada. Maybe you'll be okay 'til Tues week? If it's any consolation, I'm itching to press the buy button...
