I may be corrected but a standard 2.3ohm has no problem at 4.8v but you wouldn't use it at that level all the time, depends on juice and I believe the DCT 1.5ohm shouldn't really be used above 4.2v. As my now dead twist can vouch for.

I use my ego atty on my torpedo at 5.2v but only with blended virginia, 4.2 is good for most flavours but your'e right you can easily get burnt taste on many flavours at too high a voltage.

Don't feel for me. It was my own fault. Had my DCT on it mainly at 4.8v for almost a month. Tasted great though lol

You can use a DCT on 4.8v as its (2) 3ohm coils, think 2 high resistance atties working at the same time in the same carto for you. it will just put a tremendous drain on the batteries but they can go as far as 5-6v, careful though as I haven't tested it. I speak in theory right now but see no reason to disprove this.

That's assuming your using a 1.5ohm coil. The DCT is (2) 3ohm coils. eGo-C is not 1.8ohms, the LR eGo-C is 1.8ohms

The dual coil carts are duel 3ohm coils (that's why taste is so good, they are high resistance so they vape cool) = 1.5ohm total but the battery sees 1.5ohms, the coils see 3ohms each. It is confusing to say the least.

Yup. The only reason some pv's limit the voltage is to protect the LR coils from popping. This is an LR atty but HR coils so it confuses certain devices too not just us lol. Torpedo will limit the voltage given to it but the twist won't. I wish I didn't chuck my last DCT cart. I want to crank my booster to 4.8 and vape it to confirm its worthyness. Would anyone like to do this test for me. I've probably done it before just don't remember. Worst case is you burn the carto out which I doubt will happen. Not a big loss if so. Remember the torpedo will limit the voltage given to match the atty. The twist won't limit the voltage. Someone correct me of I'm wrong.

think you might have to drill the 2 holes out to 1.5mm first or even 2mm just to get enough liquid in there to actually burn,
anyone thinking of drilling the holes out is gonna need a fine file to take the burrs off the outside, if you dont you will dmg the inner o-ring like i did,
