Well, my Booster was shipped last Wednesday, the royal mail says it was delivered on Friday but it never arrived here. (I was home all day Friday).

Look on the RM website track and trace and some other blagger has signed for it with MY bleedin' name.  It's definitely not my signature (I never sign my full name).

No neighbours have come round with my parcel either.

Humph!  50 quid gone there I reckon unless the RM can remember which effing house they went to.

I didn't know you could get to see your signature, that's quality. I wonder if everyone does that (other couriers)or just royal fail. Also good to know if you didn't sign then they are liable... but how are they supposed to know if it is you signing at the door or an imposter? especially (for example) in a shared house?

they use retinal scans and laser aura identification beams. or at least they should.

Thats a bummer.  Can you bring something in like a drivers license to show the signature is not the same?

Should be registered on the system which address the parcel was "left with"

From here you should be able to find the imposter!

This is why i ask for non signed for if its a small package. Goes straight through the letterbox.

Well, I phoned the Royal Mail today. Played musical menus for a while, then in frustration used an old trick I remembered. Pressed # and got a live person.

Anyway, she was very helpful and had a really beautiful voice, reminded me of Jodi Foster, but not American.

She took the tracking number and will be interviewing the postie for the round that day to try and find out where it was delivered. I have to phone again on Thursday. hope I get the same operator.. Smiley

Here's hoping for a Booster somewhere in my near future.

Well done BAzz, why let them get away with it? I'll make a note of the # trick, thank you and I hope your booster comes home to you where it belongs  Wink

Yes, they always leave a card to collect from the sorting office if no one's in but this was actually delivered to someone, and they signed for it.

Just need to track down exactly where the dyslexic postman left it.

Sorry I was just having a rant about my own postman problems yesterday lol
Its strange because most of the time when I am not in they will just leave it at the local post office.

Anyway I hope you can track down where your order got delivered to and retrive it.

Well, evidently the postman is also amnesiac as well as.. whatever.

I now have to complete a claim form and get all the details from TW of what service was used, proof of posting etc.

If this was for ten quids worth of flavours or a couple of atties, I probably wouldn't bother, but it's £50 worth.

I think it would be easier to actually call the TW shop and get the details I need for their end of things.

Indeed..  I tried playing the waiting game, but it was boring, and  I don't have a box of Hungry Hungry Hippo handy so I ordered another booster when they came back into stock yesterday.

Hopefully, the postie will get it right this time.

Booster update Number 1. The postal nightmare.

The Royal mail ... what can I say.. I'd really like to drag them kicking and screaming into the 20th century.

They say they delivered it. And got a Signature. That's the end of the matter as they see it.

Not only is the signature not mine (They say they'll accept any signature at the residence wtf?) but they DON'T KEEP ANY RECORD OF WHERE IT WAS DELIVERED. Hello? Even my sodding PHONE geotags my pictures.

I say it wasn't delivered to me. They say it was delivered, but have no record of where.

TW, please STOP USING Royal Mail. I'll happily pay a bit more for a competent delivery system that actually knows WHERE they delivered something to.

Booster Update Number 2. Quality Control
Ok, so the 2nd booster I ordered arrived in due course and as posted elsewhere on here, developed a fault where the battery connector came loose.

Contacted Artisan and TW and they sent me a new one from Canada. Since that would take a while to arrive, Brian at Artisan suggested gluing the connector in place.
Did that and it's working fine.

The new Booster arrived from Canada but the atomisers don't screw down far enough before tightening up so there's no connection between the centre posts.

Contacted Brian again and they're send yet another one. (can't fault their service). In the meantime, prising the centre connector up a bit in the booster with a pair of fine tweezers gets it working. I'm sticking with my glued-together one for the time being.

The thing that struck me was the booster could never have been tested with an atomiser connected when it was produced. You'd think that would be a standard test. I tried tanks, mega tanks, clearos, somokeys and a regular 510 cartomiser and none of them worked.

So, here's waiting for another Booster.. lets home the postman doesn't lose it again.

right well if the package did NOT come to the door and from what i have seen here it did not they the post man is at fault as he should not (i be leave) under royal mail policy deliver mail etc to person on the street (i no they do if they get to no you)

I will go an hunt documentation to support this

Sorry to hear about this BAzz it really sux

TW do offer another delivery service via courier £6.99 i think it it i am sure somebody will correct me

EDIT:

After some digging can not find the document i am looking for seems not do be available online anymore but the policy should still be in effect that they are not aloud to deliver other than to the door and if they did not knock at you door they did not keep to what they should be doing keep at them mate

I really feel for you BAzz, throwing £50 down the drain is no fun.

I'm also totally amazed at how stupid and negligent the Royal Mail are allowed to be.
When I get my packages from TW here in Sweden I have to show photo-ID and sign
for the package at my local newsagent. No photo-ID, no package. This makes the
kind of fraud you have fallen victim to impossible.

I think I'll save my orders up till I have enough to warrant the extra  for the courier. Seems a no-brainer to me.

Sorry that you've lost your £50 Baz - Jeez that would make me so angry, my husband would literally have to stop me running out and one-by-one torturing the neighbors until one of them confessed.  Greedy <censored> bas*****  Angry Sad Angry

BTW Yes living in the UK sometimes does remind me of living in the Dark Ages.  BUT there are a lot of things going for the UK (especially over America) which I won't go into coz it would turn it into a full size debate and I'm likely to loose it and say something I shouldn't  Lips sealed  Anyways I love the UK, love living here and wouldn't have it any other way (and I'm half-American!!!!).

Good luck Baz
