Well after giving clearo's a fair shot for about a week and here's what I think.
First time filling the clearo kinda a pain because the plastic refilling tip is garbage. I got to fill 3 clearos before I was totally unable to use it to refill them. The plastic needle bends, kinks and pinches shut permanently and now I have to wait to get more money to order the premium refill kit just to get the proper syringe tip that should have come with the clearo in the first place (like the xl clearos).
Vapor using the clearo is great as is the flavor.
LOVE the price of clearos compared to atomizer prices
If you are not VERY careful screwing the clearo onto the (510) battery the outer casing will continue to turn while the screw end stays put. When this happened the clearo leaked like a sieve in my pocket. Apparently the screw end of the clearo's have only a compression fitting and the knurling on the metal bit that contacts the clearo wall that's supposed to prevent this from happening doesn't do too well unless you FIRMLY grasp it at the knurled bit and finish threading the clearo onto the battery. When attaching a clearo it will stop and leave a small gap and grasping it firmly on the connection end putting pressure on the knurled bit is the only way to ensure you have a good connection.
LOVE the draw off the clearos. It's not like the tanks where your cheeks look like your doing an impression of a chipmunk whose mouth has imploded.
Glad that TW got the XL clearos because the small capacity ones I empty pretty quickly (annoying to have to refill so often) and they already come with the METAL refill tip.
I like the warmer vapor from the clearo, reminds me more of an analog.
The whistle tip is comfortable to use over the stock round tip BUT the hole you draw vapor through is too small. When the warm vapor hits the cool tip if condenses (like the inside of a tank atty) slightly and occasionally I get a tiny drop of eliquid in my mouth when taking a puff. If the hole in the tip was larger and the space between the coil and mouthpiece was increased a bit I believe this would be less of an issue. I avoid this by drawing more slowly and slightly less frequently.
To sum up: I like the clearomizers quite a bit BUT they should stop sending them with the junk plastic refill tip. Also there should be some kind of adhesive or sealant on the battery connection end rather than just a compression fitting. Other than those issues clearomizers are fantastic!

Hiya Geth, just on a side note, I fully agree with you about the plastic filler thingie, I got some plastic luer lock nozzles from e-bay to refill my cartos, clearos, tanks etc. The earlier versions of the clearos had the tubes glued to the bases, but most people found that they prefered to remove the glue for cleaning, swapping the tubes round when it split, etc I still love my standard and LR atties and mega-atties, but find that most of the time I'm using the XL clearo's as they perform very well and I find them very economical to use. Happy vaping.

Unless something has change recently, that's how they come from the manufacturer, with one a plastic needle, hence the reason why TW stocking a deluxe filling kit with metal needles. I very much doubt adhesive or sealant would solve what really is a design problem which could be solved.

Once I get the XL Clearomizers I think my stance on them will change as well..... there not a bad atomizer.... but not easy to refill on the go..... It's there only real downside.
Having the extra capacity on the XL's should help some and a 5 pack of them filled and ready to go should suit me well.

Must admit Darth, I want to know your thoughts when you do try them...... as I've said before, I find that they just fit in to my vaping life so well, despite being a very happy DD'er with various atties, and the Mega Tanks are good, but I just find myself reaching for the XL's. I'm gonna HAVE to make a conscious effort to use up at least some of the stockpile of atties I have.

I think I'll get along fine with the XL's ..... using the smaller ones as I type..... only real bummer with them is I have to refill them a bit too often... but still enjoying them. Compared to the cartomizers I have used in the past I rate these standard sized clearomizers a bit higher on taste, throat hit, performance, and ease of filling.... they also can be taken apart and cleaned which is a real plus. Although a pain to fill..... at least with the clearomizers it is easy to correctly fill them to capacity..... was something I struggled a bit with when using foam filled cartomizers... either got a filler hit or liquid in the mouth after a refill..... grrrrrrrr The Tornado tanks I will always have a warm fuzzy feeling for..... looks nice.... comfy tip... durable.... some what re-buildable/maintainable ..... only real drawback with them is price. The new Mega 2ml ones are awesome..... they make the notion of making or buying an autofeed mod obsolete.... and don't look like a science experiment gone a rye in the process.... I still patiently await the LR version of these to come out.... and would love to see a MultiPack deal in this series offered. Hint hint Mr Wicked if your watchin

Long time since i posted on here. I don't normally leave feedback on any items i buy, as most i normally carry out D.I.Y Mod's, one way or another. However, i think these Tanks and Clearomiser deserve a little feedback. I am a born TW consumer, all my gear is TW, apart from the juice. I have had no problems with any of it, other then the failure of a mega Tornado auto battery, which was quickly replaced with a manual F.O.C...Great service. I'm not a big spender but do like to keep up to date with some of the new items from TW, so i buy a few bits. Most never seem to fail or go wrong, apart from fair wear and tear, which is expected from consumables and i am a heavy user and abuser of my PV.
Anyways, Tanks have been my fav, never a problem, so easy to fill, no leaks...just perfection. Not sure i like the price of the Attys but only purchased two on my first order and still going strong, so probably good value for a tenner each. Tanks for me 7 out of 10 and would have got more if the Attys were cheaper.
So now i try the Clearomiser, these are Sooo cheap, i just got to give them a go. Ordered 2 boxes and got them today. Now 12 hours of hard puffing and they seem a super piece of gear, great smoke, great taste, no problems. Not as easy/Quick as the Tanks to fill but pretty simple and like the Tanks, i fill a few ready to pop on when needed. The juice in the Clearomiser does last longer then the Tanks, thats a strong point for me, the longer the better.
After just one day of use, it's to early to judge which is going to be the better unit, but so far, price wise and performance, if these Clearomisers can take the punishment, i think they will be given an 8 out of 10 from me. Time will tell.

[/quote] I agree with you & I like how you sum it up,You hit every area of its problems with it but I only quoted your sum up.I think they classified this item as desposible item because of the pionts that you made & thats why it's so affordable.I keep on losing the mouth piece.I wish each box came with more then one.I guess I'm lucky that I purchased more then one packet of them.

Come someone pm me with some tricks to the trade on these clearo's. The pack last week were all different sizes, the first one was great but I overtwisted it and cracked the pipe - the other four won't wick at all and I get nothing but the burnt taste unless I DD straight on the coil. Before you ask -> Yes, I emailed TW and they havent responded as of yet. Astrecks do you have a post up yet with the step by step process of changing out the guts on these things? I just purchased another set of XL's in hopes it was just a bad pack because what Ive read my experience shouldnt be happening. BTW- I got a 22 gauge metal needle from Walgreens for $0.25, works great.

I put a little PG in the clearo the keeping the o-ring and mouthpiece out, put a bic pen in and push easily. All the guts will slide out the bottom easily.

Hi... I haven't been on here for a while... I still use an SD, a Tornado and LR attys with a drip tip. I bought some Clearomisers a while back, before they were available at TW... I thought they tasted really badly of plastic .... has anyone else found this? (I haven't tried the Tank yet) Lee

Well I do not like the XL Clearomiser, every one of them have not worked right at all. They leak out or crack, right out of the gate, frist use.The smaller ones work better but get the higher # 2.6 - 2.8.You might find other people with different opinions.

Tank got my vote but only just.with the price been so good on the xl clearo,s i just had to try em and i was realy impressed.i had read about all the problems with them but the 5 i got all work no cracks, leaks, burnt taste etc.great taste good vape cant hit em as fast as the tank but only got dry hit as level got low, tipped up and back in action.i even took one to bits washed it out re-assembled and works like a good un.i dont think i would carry one in my pocket assembled on the battery as they are not as tough as a tank but very nice. Tanks very much i hope thats clearo . ps just ordered another ten just to be sure

With a comparatively new atty, for me the mega Tank wins overall....
but have been testing the XL clearomisers recently......has more issues overall than the tank (splitting & leaking, tricky filling, wicking etc) - but are a good "disposable" alternative.
Put it this way - I got 30 of them as "spares" but wouldn`t use them exclusively all the time.

Hi eveyone, someone mentioned the vaper condensing at the tip and getting in their mouth earlier. I just got a piece of heat shrink tubing about 3/4: long that just fits over the small rubber tip, and slid it on. The small droplets don't make it up any farther than the end of the black tip.

I originally voted Tank, but since then I've discovered the joys of clearomisers and definitely prefer them to the Tanks. No leaks at all, no burning taste at all and a price that's ridiculously cheap makes them a real winner in my view

I agree that we should have had an option to vote for both. I find the clearo a fiddle to refill, cracks too easily and sometimes leaks - but, love the taste and tend to use it last thing of an evening. The tank is great for convenience but somehow the flavour doesn't seem as good.
