Right i have a question, when i first started vaping i was on like 36mg juice etc and the TH was really good in general no matter what hardware i was really using. I have now manged to get down to around 4mg of nicotine and the TH now doesnt really exist  Sad Is this due to the nicotine levels within the juice?
I dont really want to start mixing my own juice as it looks complicated  Shocked but eventually i do want to get down to 0mg of nicotine but at the same time still want a TH......Hopefully this makes sence and anyone have any ideas?

The nicotine strength can absolutely effect your throat hit.  The higher you go the more pronounced it will be and vise verse for the lower strengths.

Try adding a bit of PG to your mix this may help.

Hi stretch ,im new to vaping but i mix my own 0mg juice ,a starting block for me was a bottle of peg400 and a menthol concentrate , i have also purchased diablo loco ,diablo poco and a tabacco flavour.
I currently mix a strong menthol mix and when topping up my cart i even sometimes put 1 drop of concentrate straight in the cart for a large th .
Mixing really is quite simple once you have asked a few questions on here.

Hi Stretch

Its much cheaper to mix your own juice.   This taken from another thread.

The best place to start is to have a read through the Mixing Guide -  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/forum/mixing-discussions/mixing-101-11504/.

This will explain all you need to know to start mixing your own.

Basically you need 4 things to get you started

1.  Unflavoured Nicotine Juice,      either Red Label unflavoured 36mg or Platinum Ice  54mg

2   Choice of a dilutant,  this will cut the mg strength to a mg of your choice,   Most go for either  PG or VG/AG

3.  Flavour Concentrates of your choosing

4.  Empty dropper bottles

Everything you need can be found here -   http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/mixing-accessories-products.html

Thanks caz, im mainly confused at what to go for PG or VG as the base nicotine and the diluet.

Say Diluent - VG and 36mg PG Nicotine Base or do you need to get Diluent VG and 36mg VG Nicotine Base. Then a flavouring.

hmmm well i'm not really an expert mixer,  only use pre-mixed mainly,   but seeing that your looking for throat hit i would get VG as the nicotine base and PG as the dilutant,  my reasoning for this is you will be adding more drops of pg to dilute than you would be for the nic base,   pg gives the throat hit.  Then of course you need flavouring.

If the vapour is not enough for you,  you can always substitute some of the pg dilutant for vg dilutant.

Hope i havent confused you more  Shocked     oops.      it really is easy to mix though,   after the first time is over with,   the initial scary concept of mixing your own,  you'll realise it wasnt so difficult after all  Wink       .

Hi Stretch,

I mix a 0% nic and like you need throat hit. I use a high % of flavouring and so far have found Menthol, Lime Zinger and anything with a tiny amount of Diablo Loco will provide TH. Mixing Cherry with menthol works for me too.

I didn't find that using all PG delivered anymore TH than VG. My mix is a 200ml bottle of VG from Boots for 89p, take 30ml out and add 30ml of vodka, shake it.Then just add as much flavouring to get to a taste you like.Add the flavouring drop by drop.

I mix 10ml at a time as i'm still learning. I found 1 drop of Diablo in 10ml is still very strong so I might mix a 20ml next time.

Hope this helps.

Victoria.

No, no need for that to get throat hit stretch.  Just keep doing what your doing (mixing two pre-mixes (0 nic and whatever) together to get the desired nic level you're after) and add some Diablo Loco (or Poco), as Victoria suggested, to get the throat hit you're after.  Just one thing though...... be careful with that stuff! Shocked   A little dab'll do you. Cheesy

Yes thats the concentrate ,choose a flavour and add a drop or two to taste ,if you use the mixing calculator that will give yoy a starting block ,then adjust to taste.

That sounds expensive I believe you can buy all the vg ect, you need to dilute your juice from tw at a fraction of the price

Not sure how you've got to that conclusion Madman, you can buy 200mls of VG from a pharmacist for as little as £0.89, and a shot of vodka (approx 30mls) is going to be may £0.50p max meaning you get 200mls of AG for less than £1.50!!!
