Hi all trying to get life insurance but hitting a brick wall, does anyone no of any insurance companies who class vaping as none tobacco use and treat you as a none smoker?
£50 k cover £13.50 per month as a non smoker £25.00 per month as a smoker.
I was recently classed as a smoker for still using nicotine from a well known insurance company.
Cheers

Over here it states "do you use tobacco or have you in the last 12 months?"  No, because nicotine isn't tobacco or a tobacco product.  Its a chemical.

I don't smoke! That's all I have to say to my insurance company. After all, I'm not lying...not even stretching the truth...I do not smoke! Grin

Done some research and decided not to keep bashing my head against a brick wall as most insurance companies now state You are classed as a smoker if you have smoked or used any tobacco related products (including nicotine patches) within the last 12 months.
So the way I look at am saving about £195 per month by vaping, therefore an extra £12 per month does not look to bad especially if I snuff it at least my family will have £50 k to drown their sorrows with.
Happy Vaping all.

You're taking it the right way and it seems everyone is happy Grin You save money and can afford life insurance, the life insurance company get a new customer and your family are rubbing their hands looking at you in eager anticipation  Huh

Sorry forgive my terrible sense of humour Undecided

If you can't get it on discount, don't get it!

I've heard of some insurance companies that test for nicotine use. Even though they may ask about tobacco use, and you can say no....of course the nicotine will show if a test is done.

Once, I was asked to do a urine test at a company I already worked for...I asked why..."You suspect me of something?" Boss man said no, but the new Insurance company we switched to requires it.

I told him I don't do urine test but, I'll give 'em a taste test if that'll help them out. He just looked at me with this quizzical, disturbed look and walked off. I was never approached again about it at that job. About two months later, I left that job and started my own company. Of course, that was diff type of Insurance. Still, it was funny...lol
