when did this happen?  i am very glad to see that being offered as a diluent here.  VG is essential to a satisfying vape at a ratio of greater than 20%.  i was a straight VG guy for a while after being a straight PG in the beginning.  now i am in the middle and it depends on the flavor and the carto/tank thingy but i now average a 30/70 mix.  so i sneaked some PG back into the mix.  i felt i now needed it because it gave extra life to my devices with some throat hit and without  be so dependent on a high nic mg for the TH.  amen.

Ditto john
I was getting tired of wicking issues etc from 100% vg and gradually worked my way to 50/50 blend and it seems to work good for me right now.
Don't if i would move to a 70/30 blend again 50/50 seems to work well for now.
Funny how we change back and forth...

Jon - love your avatar btw.

Wicking issues?

So,  the VG "thins" the mix as well as give TH?

Please elaborate... I want to fully understand what you are saying.

Hiya T_O_D, sorry mate, you've got it the wrong way round, it's PG (Propylene Glycol) that gives TH and tends to be the thinner part of the mix. Undiluted VG (Vegetable Glycerine) is very syrupy and is normally diluted slightly (Normally around 85%vg, 15% Deionised/Distilled water) to make AG (Aqueous Glycerine) before mixing for vaping. VG/AG in the mix boosts the amount of vapour produced and smoothes out the TH and adds a bit of sweetness.
Hope this helps.

I see... thanks for the clarification.

This was the missing piece to the puzzle.... I get the whole picture now.

Thank you!
Thank you!

Vg is thicker and can cause wicking issues with your device, PG is thinner and adds TH. But pg produces less vape. Pg will help thin out the VG, thus the blend has both and shared attributes.

What I was taught back in the day (*rolls eyes*) VG = Vapor, PG = Throat Hit and better flavor.... the correct mixture is extremely subjective like flavo(u)r preference.

I experimented with mixing the first time i was a vaper and I learned that VG/PG ratio takes a lot of personal tinkering. Try it out like you're in a lab as long as you're not stupid enough to screw up the mg/ml nicotine mixture you're golden (Which I would sincerely hope no one who mixes themselves is dumb enough, but the disclaimer is warranted).

another thing to consider is the volume of your flavoring and nicotine which can a be PG base.  so yes indeed, it does take a lot of tinkering, cyphering and blood, sweat and tears.
