DV Absinthe is the ultimate vape flavour :-)

« on: January 27, 2012, 10:19:26 PM »

Today has been a really busy day..
This thread is a combination of a bonusfathers need of bragging about his fantastic artistic son and vaping on all kind of places there
smoking is totally forbidden :-)

Erik my brilliant artistic bonus son has got himself on a major artexhibition that started today in our capital Stockholm.
I have always hated flying because I cant smoke on airplanes and airports. And today I have together with the whole family made a "roundtrip"
Malmoe - Stockholm to give Erik support on this artexhibition,
I started to vape at the airport, being careful no guards at least should see me. In the beginning I was a bit nervous. But after awhile I noticed that
nobody seemed to notice and I got more and more brave. during the flight on the airplane I started to vape almost totaly openly.
To my big surprise not one was objecting, not one looked angry at me  Cheesy In sweden people have no idea what a e-cig is. They are not familiar with it
at all. So they saw nothing strange about it. Inside the art gallery I was vaping and walking around all the time, same there. Nobody seemed to care or
even notice at all  Cheesy I am sure if I had lid a cig security guards would have thrown me out.

So in conclusion of today I have been vaping at two airports, two airplanes and one major artgallery and not one cared or even seemed to notice  Cheesy
How great isn´t that  Cheesy And as a really big bonus I could even enjoy it because I did not long to smoke all the time  Cheesy

Knoton - that's awesome! Congrats on your son's art exhibition, you must be so proud! You are very brave to vape openly... I have to say I would not be able to do that. Typically when I'm in a place where I can't vape openly, I vape in the bathroom. I know.... lame.... I'm just a scardy cat, and totally in awe of all who are brave enough to do it in the open.

Wow, im really surprised nobody approched you on it. Im far too self concious and sometimes also nip to the loo for a vape as well Smiley

I see heathrow has a specific policy that you can only vape in designated smoking areas  Angry

Also, I have converted a few people to vaping recently and the companies they work from also forbid them from vaping anywhere but designated smoking areas which really sucks.

Perhaps it will change when vaping becomes much more widespread and people are more educated on the subject.

Luckygirl -- I know you're in Boston and I'm in Florida, but maybe some day we'll run into one another in the loo.

Tez77 -- doubtful with you being in the UK and a "guy"!

I wonder how many others are out there "smokin vapin in the boys' room" or girls' room?   Wink

Hey Lettie,
It's not as improbable as you may think - my parents live just north of Miami (Hallandale beach) so I'm in Florida pretty often. LOVE Miami. It's a 24/7 party town.

Thats what I call balls guts!
Wow, You would never get away with that in the U.S.A someone would whine and cry to an official or manager.
I wouldn't even try in an airport on plane, the TSA probably wouldn't even let you on a plane with any vaping device!!!
They are so dumb you wouldn't be able to explain it's not a bomb or poison.

I'll would most likely end up in jail before they found out what it was!!! LOL

Ah, you dont know what bonus means. Did not think of that.
The boys are not of my blood. They are a bonus I got when I married their mother many years ago  Cheesy
I dont like the sound of "step" son/father and so on... I very much prefer bonus since that is the way I feel about it  Cheesy
That word has a even more negative sound in Swedish "styv"
I try to be a bonus father rather than a stepfather  Cheesy

Do you use bonus at your side of the world?

I've never heard it used in that context, but I love it and will start using it instead of stepdaughter, because I don't like using "step" either!

OH, Konton, that's what you meant! I thought maybe it was a nice way of saying "surprise" child. I sometimes refer to my youngest like that (as he was totally unexpected, but very welcome nonetheless).
I have 4 bonus kids. (Love it!) Plus 2 of mine. I will definitely start using that term.  Thanks for initiating us.

I have found that if I just start vaping when I'm anywhere, the only reactions I ever get are curiosity.  I vape at my kids' school functions, games, restaurants...wherever, and have never once had anyone say that I couldn't.
