How TW  can justify charging £8.99 for a 250ml bottle of Glycerin when it can be bought for 99 pence in boots pharmacy which is pharmaceutical grade the same as what TW is selling.
I bought three bottles of 200 ml VG Glycerin which cost me £2.97 from boots.
To buy six hundred ml at TW's price would have cost me £22.97. Shocked
Tell me it's not reading properly on my screen  somebody please.

Lol, as you become more experienced, you will realise that many things you can get here you can go else where for cheaper, sometimes better quality identical items, i am sure tw just hike the price because when you Google e cigs in the UK tw comes up on every page, so instead of people taking time to look around, research, they just click and hey presto, bought, maybe they don't realise how much more it is costing them, and all companies are the same, i am not putting tw down, its just they are a bigger company so take over the web more.
Its just easier for them to hike the price because internet shopping is the way people shop these days.

your figures are a little off but yeah kind of. I know glycerin can be had cheap out the pharmacy. I think its just that you have to dilute the glycerin to make it vape at its optimum level thus giving you a good vape.

You can use deionised water but its not as good as distilled water as thats has the lowest level of impurities. Then the time to mix it with glycerin to give you AG which is what we actually use in vaping but its always referred to as VG.

I get what your saying though it should probably be around the £1 mark for a 60ml bottle which would be fairer although im sure TW would say the cost of producing the AG at lower quantities rather than large vats of the stuff therefore increases costs which is often the case

Boots is a huge company with big buying power. I'm not trying to defend TW's pricing policy, but you have to bare in mind, TW is expanding and contributing to the local UK economy by buying locally and  providing more employment directly and indirectly.

TW is bringing quality assurance to it's customers by bringing flavour production and product development in house, and to comply with all the regulations that the UK government places on companies is a considerable investment. Setting up a laboratory/clean-room for such a project doesn't come cheap, and it's not a question of nipping down to B&Q to buy stainless steel sinks and a couple of funnels for filling bottles.

If the pricing is wrong then the stock will stay on the shelf.

The Glycerin (PG/VG) that TW sells is ready to vape and to get to that point it passes thru more hands then the drug store stuff.  The more that touch it the more it will cost.   I have been in the retail business and I think you would be really shocked to see the make up on things!!!

I don't mix with AG so I'm unaffected by this. I had bought one bottle of AG from TW before along with platinum ice and didn't like it at all. Much too thin for me. 50% VG for me with a max of 5% water!

To quote many people, 'we are prepared to pay extra to support a successful brand and for customer service'. Thus why the exact same products u can get elsewhere are as you describe, a ripoff. If you wish to support the brillant totallywicked and quality products, then buy! If you wish to save money and buy the same elsewhere then you can, nobody forces you to pay the extra Wink

*meant to say 5% total water or 10% water to VG (50%).
As far as TW pricing like stated before "you pay not just for the product but for unparalleled quality, service and peace of mind that comes with it" and in the end it's your choice who you buy from. I prefer getting 99% of my stuff from TW knowing if something goes wrong I'll be covered. I've bought elsewhere but I've never gotten the personal connection to any company like I received from TW. I understand what you mean puff but you know also what I'm talking about. Don't forget the discount codes and the yo-yo! With those TW prices are close to the best. I'm not disagreeing with you like I said but I understand why the prices for certain items are high. Maybe having this brought to their attention will have them think about looking into it and adjusting the prices. Maybe that's why you started this topic and for that I thank you. I personnaly wish TW sold VG as I'm too forgetful to get it on my daily travels. As you say it's expensive and that's the 1% I don't buy from them. I have a mixed point of view on this and just wanted to share it.

I'm quite happy to pay the extra to TW because I live in the middle of nowhere and what I save by buying at my 'local' chemist, I will spend double that in petrol getting there

I work in a electrical wholesaler and yes, we have to make a make up, just like boots and TW........yes Boots are a big company and have incredible buying power as we do, but this power enables us to compete or under price our competitors, but as many say in this thread, isn't it better to go somewhere where you can get the advice and after care you desire and require...also Boots don't do e-liquid or cart's or 80% of what TW sell...no brainer i say!!!! lol

Thank you for all your replies I sincerely apologies for my remarks as
after reading Jayson's thread on the Odyssey I am now fully a where
of the reasons for his prices and am truly delighted that he and others
are in the proses of producing some descent reliable products in the uk
that will last for many years....for that I am very grateful.
Thank you Jayson and the team.

I must be honest that all my vaping equipment since I started vaping in October 2011
I have bought from TW  apart from the VG glycerin.
Tornado Tank kit
Ego C mega pass through battery
Mega Tornado battery
Torpedo
DCT plus a dozen Cartomizers
Tornado attomizers
Clearomizers  CE2 XL Clearomizer Ultimate
All my e liquids, so much you could float a boat in it.

And last but not least the "Smokeymizer Ultimate CE3 XL"  Angry
Which was really the cause of my frustration and starting this thread.
I bought two packs of these awful things and all of them in both packs
didn't just leak but drained all the liquid in them, I hasten to add the
filling was no problem, it was about an hour after I filled them, their constant
leaking fluid almost ruined all my batteries making the buttons stick when
switched on, not to mention every time I picked them up fluid everywhere
and everything being sticky including me and every thing I touched, and
all the fluid I lost...so they all were binned as at that time I couldn't afford
to post them back to TW. The only thing I had to vape on was my DCT
which was draining my batteries so fast I could hardly keep up with the
charging, hence the reason for buying the Torpedo when I could afford it.

The experience was truly awful, I shall never buy these again no matter
what any one says.
As for customer service they cannot be faulted in anyway and I shall remain a
loyal customer to TW.  Grin

Great follow up Tina I would say tw do charge a little more than others out there on some of its products its pretty common knowlage however you know everything you buy here is genuine, with warranty and backed by excellent customer sevice.

I'm happy paying the couple quid extra for this peace of mind.

On the vg route I would say pharmacy vg is cheap if you look at supermarkets they sell food vg for making cakes etc at £1 for a tiny bottle so on comparison you could say the supermarkets are a rip off.

Hope your enjoying vaping again and we have all been there when we are frustrated to the point of feeling like giving up but that's why the community is here to help no matter what
