I've also been thinking a bit about prices and have come to the conlusion that we are being ripped off price wise too, especially with the premixed eliquids (this goes for other suppliers too) which seem to have gotten more and more expensive over the last couple of years.

Cigarettes are expensive, but this is largely due to the fact that 77.9% (as of February 2012) goes to HMRC in taxes, and year on year increases in pack price are presumably down to increases in taxes which seem to get pushed up every year too.

The same can't be said of eliquid, however, as they are not taxable products.

How much markup is there on a bottle of eliquid? And what drives up the increase in prices we have observed when (if anything) a maturing business and technological advances will have likely led to efficiencies in wholesale production, distribution, and sale of the product?

Why aren't some of these savings passed onto the consumer, given that the ecig market appears to be getting exponentially bigger as people cotton on to vaping, and profits are presumably exponentially increasing too?

I'd be curious to know...

I don't know about the gold standard liquid pricing but you have to remember these will be made in the uk. So have to conform to health and safety standards. All the quality checks that must be carried out. The bottles bought in people to bottle the liquid. When you add up all the costs involved you quickly realise how it gets to the price its at. Also a 20ml bottle would last most a week at £10 one pack of 20 cigs is not far off that plus that would only last a day. So overall its good value for money and your paying for quality and standard of liquid you buy

What increases and where?.. it's certainly not with TW, Red Label Premixed Eliquid is £19.99 per bottle.... exactly the same price as when I bought my first bottle in May 2009.. so in real terms it's gone down in price.

The Platinum Ice is now cheaper than it was originally and you get 50ml not 30ml's. My first Titan full kit was £50, my first SD kit was £99.

There is an issue of consistency, reliability and quality that TW is now investing in.

+1 Jeff and Jonn they do indeed have to make a profit. You don't go off at tesco for selling a tiny bottle of glycerin when you can buy it cheaper else where. Also tw as Jeff said have not increased pricing and as mentioned they have increased purity quality made it from all uk ingredients and made it cheaper for platinum ice and introduced titanium ice.

I for one will say that the quality of this nicotine solution is second to absolutely none its great stuff.

Plus all premix has remained the same but with yo yo and daily discounts on top so it really is great value

Dan that would be a hell of a commute if they were up here then yes lol

Seriously though iv trolled the net and other companies and while there are others with a bigger range etc they are all akin to walking into a corner shop. Loads of stuff all over the site with no real attention to detail or quality its just a case of get it in. Make money selling it and if people are unhappy they will buy something else so more money for us.

Tw selectivley stock kit which at times is annoying but they do it for the right reasons so on the whole customer satisfaction is key.

It does cost a few quid more to buy stuff from tw at times but you know what

I get great service great products and I know everyone listens to feedback which is all I want out of a shopping experience
