I long for the TH again.....

Right really starting to bug me now not being able to get a TH  

I have started mixing my own juice, today i got my stuff in the post and have knocked up a small mix (See below) please someone give me an idea of how to get bigger TH without increasing nicotine......If i have to increase nicotine i will have to. I have added some TW Diablo poco to the mix to but the aftertaste of it i really dont like.

70% PG non nicotine
15% VG nicotine from 54mg Base
15% Flavourings (I added coconut & Menthol,nice taste just no TH)

I am trying these new mixes on my ego c & DCT.

Hi,

I have to have TH and I rely on menthol to provide it. 15% is way to low for me, I prefer 20 - 25% when mixing Vanilla, Apple, Orange, Cherry or Raspberry with Menthol.

Lime Zinger is good on TH too, again I mix at 25%.

This morning I mixed 20ml of Vailla & Menthol and added ONE drop of Diablo Loco, it gives TH but is still very spicy.

At 25% flavour I have not noticed any reduction in TH whilst reducing nic from 36 to 10mg.

What PV do you use?

Have you tried increasing your pg ratio, I use pg at 72% the only thing is with having your nic in with the vg it is going to lower your nic content. So the only other way I can see to do it is to increase your nic content. Am sure somebody else might come along with a better suggestion.

Im using both the Ego -C and the Dual Coil Tank, i will try and up my flavour % a bit then maybe mix 15% Menthol and 5% coconut, Vanilla does sound nice, i may get some of that

While I have not tried it, I've been told that menthol crystals can add a lot of TH.

Have you by any chance reduced your nicotine content?

Unfortunately throat hit generally comes from nicotine and type of flavour. As someone else has suggested, citrus flavours tend to bite into the throat a lot more. Mint works too, as does menthol.

Until recently I'd have said 'add some vodka' but there's a bit of a debate as to whether you're doing yourself harm by doing so (not from alcohol vapour, but from the way voddy can react with some plastics).

If you fancy trying vanilla, Vanilla Ice or a mix of vanilla and menthol are both really good

Some good advice here, just a couple of things I can think of to add.  With flavorings, sometimes less is more.  I don't vape menthol, so I can't say for sure about that, but you might try increasing the percentage of menthol in your mix.  Diablo Loco would add more TH than the Poco, but I'm guessing it would also add more of the flavor you don't care for (again, I'm just guessing since I don't use either (in fact, I don't like TH and mix to eliminate it as much as possible)), but you'd need less of the Loco than the Poco, so you may be able to get more TH w/less of the flavor.  The one think I can think of for sure would be to get some PG nic base so you could do an all PG mix.  There would be very little vapor, but PG gives TH and VG/AG gives vapor and a slight sweetness.  Also, high grade voddy (we can use Everclear here in the states) is suppose to add some TH too, but I think it doesn't add as much TH as more PG, menthol, or Loco would.  Hope this helps a bit, and I'm sure other TH aficionados will be along shortly with better suggestions than this.

I find LR Atties to give more Throat hit than standard atties.
Well at least for me. But I also draw paraells to harsh throat and TH...
That might be a way to go when you lower your nicotine percentage?

Yeah i have reduced my nicotine level cus eventually i just want a 0% nicotine mix but this seems to be a hard choice now due to TH I am currently on 8mg nicotine - will try mixing another mix later with a bit more flavour % goin try 20 % Flavour mixing it 50/50 coconut and menthol. But now i have the dentist as i may have to have wisdom tooth out   not many things scare me but the dentist OMG!!!

I bought the poco because the loco was out of stock this is before i learnt i could get it from somewhere else  I dont usually have menthol but as im getting used to coconut now i thought i may try droping some menthol in the mix (joys of mixing your own i suppose) Vanilla does sound nice aswell so i will get some of that next time i make an order. I have only just bought my VG nicotine so want to try and use that up 1st before i buy the next lot. Need to try and stop spening so much money on it lol its very addictive!!!

Oh, and just thought of the CE4s.... I've not tried them (again, it's that whole "I don't like TH" thing) but some who have ("Pufferfish" comes to mind) say they are big on TH.  Although it's worth noting that some peeps are not getting on well with them.  You might want to read some of the reviews and see what you think though.

Nickball is right when he mentions the CE4s, I found them to have a kick like a donkey and for that reason I use mine very sparingly as I prefer the vapour without too much TH.... you'll get both from a CE4 and now that I've wrestled with the filling enough to work it out... I can do it without too much trouble. The one I first used (and posted a brief review) was a leaker it seems... the others have been OK.
Maybe it would worth your while to try one out if you're going to want to reduce your nicotine even further at some point...

Well.. I recently had a Wisdom out and they pumped me full of all kinds of pain killers.. The plus side is.. Though i wont pretend it was the best day out, It was basically pain free actually.. So try not to worry.. Never as bad as you imagine! 
 The only downside is, I got back and decided to jump on the forum and take my mind off the days events.. Thing is, I was still high as a kite on whatever they gave me..plus I topped up with some of my own painkillers just to be certain!  ( mine was quite a big op) and ended up posting all kinds of weird stuff!  Can't remember what exactly, something to with pigeons I think?!    .. Next time.. I will just watch tv until I'm fully lucid!..lol
 Will be interested to see how your TH search goes. I'm somewhat behind you in my Nic reduction process but trying to start cutting my nic from 18mg down to 11mg, though I think I'm gonna struggle to go much lower than that as I need plenty of TH too!

Im back It wasnt to bad at all really good dentist LOTS OF BLOOD tho as abscess under tooth or something he was trying to tell me lol. Over all im happy on the plus side aswell i have gone back to my ego - c tried a few vapes but could only pull very slowley as i cant feel half my face and getting some good TH from the vape Maybe i was just pulling to hard on it you would have thought id be able to get the right way of vaping now after 8 months wouldnt you haha

I'm pretty sure that at 8,10 and 11 MG nic you get mimimal TH from nic. PG made no difference for me either. I think at these nic levels you need to get TH from flavour, LR atties or voltage thingies.

I have been vaping the menthol with my DCT for 24 hours now and im not to keen on the menthol tbh, it does give the TH but its the after taste i cant get used to, i think im just a moaning bugger haha. Do you know if the mint flavour gives the same TH and is the taste the same?
