Hey everyone.

Been vaping a week now and am already thinking i need to have a tinker with things. I thought id start off with an 18650 mod as i have a load of batteries already from other electronics projects.

I already have battery holders, tons of LEDs and switches and have ordered some 510 connectors but i have a couple of questions.

Do tornado lithium batteries actually put out the full 4.2v of a fully charged battery or do they use some form of cc/cv controller. i read in another thread that they only put out 3v after allowing for the atty resistance. I dont want to fry anything by hitting them with 4.2v.

Ive seen plenty of project boxes which would take all the gubbins but wondered if anyone uses some sort of off the shelf product that can be converted to something a bit funkier.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed

The Tornado batteries are regulated down to 3.2 volts and maintain this output throughout their charge from full to empty

As for project boxes, I've seen battery mods built out of plumbing parts, battery boxes, old cell phones, hand-carved wooden units, etc.  Pretty much anything that can hold all the stuff you want to squeeze in there will work just fine.  You want something funky?  You could try using the body of an old Nintendo controller (maybe put the existing buttons to use) or hollow out a stick (I can totally picture that last one, somebody sucking on a piece of tree limb, bark still on Wink )

I liked the one person who did a mod from a flashlight that had 4 or 5 different type of atty coonectors built into it.  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/forum/modification-area/in-the-works'the-quad-threat'/

You are correct Horseman. The main problem im facing is that they are sealed units so am going to have to cut and form a sleeve join of some sort. was going to play a bit more today but decided to watch the Tour de France and formula 1 British grand prix. could get through some serious vaping lol
