Hi there all! Not posted much on here before but just wanted to see if any of you have had their mega tank get juce build up in the atty and suck up into the mega cart? Im experementing with placing a tiny very thin rubber washer that fits down on the spike sealing better between the cart and the metal plate in the atty. This doesnt seem to have cured the problem so ive just tryed blocking 3/4 of the hole on the end of the spike with rubber solution glue to see if the reduced fluid flow will stop build up... will keep you posted if this works. Dont really want to have to mod carts all the time and prefer a one time fix for the attys. Mark

I haven't used them for a while now, but when I did I found that if you don't blow through the atomiser fairly regularly (once or twice a day), they do tend to build juice up which invariably ends up in your mouth. If you blow through the atomiser whenever you change / refill the tank you should find it doesn't do it any more

yea, i would go with that.. might have just messed up the one megga atty i have here as just "pinched" the end of the needle that goes into the cart in an attempt to reduce the juce flow a bit as my glue and rubber washer didnt work. Will see if cured it..

Most annoyin thing is that I have a package ( with 10 new ejuices and an atomizer ) waiting for me in the house however I need to look after my great aunt around 2 hrs away from my house Gief package! Also since the tanks I've never had fluid in my mouth, dunno how you ended up with it in your mouth :O Jamie / Gognac

Think i might be vapeing quite hard on it when should really be blowing the atty out. Have completely blocked up the hole in the spike with liquid thread lock now to see if any juce will still feed through to the atty (meaning a leak) if none gets through i will pick a bit of the thread lock out until the juce flow starts again.. determined to find a way of stopping the flooding.

I really would not recommend using any glue, thread lock or any other chemicals in the spike.
There is a strong chance you could seriously poison yourself, should any of those chemicals leach into the liquid.

Have you refilled the tank at all? taken the tank off the atomoiser more than once or twice?
The standard caps on the tanks are hard plastic and the hole in them will tend to open out after several re-insertions into the atomiser.
There are replacement soft rubber caps in the TW store and these do not suffer from hole erosion.
I have some tanks more than 2 months old and man many refills and no leaks. All with the new caps.

It's also possible that you have managed to push the wick down to low in the spike, which will cause it to leak. Here is a simplified youtube description of how the wick in the spike works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MXYm1e_uuU&playnext=1&list=PLE1FE4F9E66FA864D

You have LR Mega Tank attys over there? Check to be sure. I think maybe what you're looking at is a LR Mega Tornado atty (not a Tank atty). If so, you can't use your Mega Tank carts on them, and you will have to buy some carts to go with them. These are the "old style" with batting in the carts. I don't recommend them, although some like them. I had a lot of problems with leaks with the two I had. I will say if you want to use them strictly for DDing and tail-pipe them, then they're a good option. Great vapour production.

Think im gonna bite the bullet and get another mega atty and try the rubber cart caps. Think all my issues are related to the original clear replacement caps being brittle plastic. Im hoping the black rubber ones will wear much less and have a better seal. Fitting a new plastic cap in a cart stopped the leaking for a day or two but can visibly see the hole wearing out. Anybody else tried these black rubber (??) caps?

The black rubber caps should certainly help if the problem is a leak, but I found it was easy to flood the Mega Tanks if I vaped too hard, they required long light draw as opposed to sharp quick draws. I think I've developed the knack of adusting my drawing technique to suit the atomiser I'm using at the time
