Hello everyone!

The guys at work turned me on to the E-cig thing... and so I bought one, well 2 actually from TW.

My Tornado tank just arrived and I've taken a few puffs on it. Neat.

I have to say that TW's customer service is most excellent.

Well I'm off to read some FAQs if I can find any...

Well thank all of you for the warm greetings.

So I've bought some cartomizers to use with my tornado battery... the 510 dual coil XL LR ** ... what "tip" will work with those?
**If this is not a good idea could someone please let me know.

Could I use one of my empty "tanks" or is this a different diameter opening altogether?

Hi TOD, and welcome to the forum.  You won't be able to use an empty Tank cart (it will be too big), but they come with sort of a tip...... Undecided  well, its not a tip really...... more of a plug with a hole in it that you can vape from..... Undecided  but you may prefer to buy a drip tip. Smiley

Looks like I have some more research to do...

I know with a cartomizer you soak the fluval / absorbent material with eliquid.

Well lets start with what I know, I do know what a tank is and how it works.
So how does the "drip tip" differ from a "tank" - the diameter is different... what else?

Thanks again

Hi again TOD.  The drip tip is designed to facilitate DDing (direct dripping).  You wouldn't normally DD with a Tank atty (although you could).  DDing is usually done with an "old school" atty (like a 510 atty).  These types of attys are designed to use with the old carts.  They have some poly-fill in them, and you soak them with eliquid which then wicks down onto the atty by way of a metal bridge that sits over the atty coil.  You have to keep "topping them up" quite often, and when you direct drip, you don't use the cart, and just drip a few drops of eliquid "directly" onto the atty and vape until the flavor starts going off, or the vapor tails off, and then add a few more drops.  The drip tips have a large hole down the middle that will allow you to drip your eliquid into the atty w/o the need to remove it, and provides a mouthpiece so you don't have to tailpipe (take hits directly off an atty w/o something to "insulate" your lips from the hot atty (510 attys are pretty short! Cheesy)).  You can't really DD with a DC carto (when topping up, you'll want to remove the drip tip to be sure the eliquid goes down the side of the carto, and not into the center hole), but the drip tips do make a nice mouthpiece for them.  Hope this helps rather than clouds the issue. Cheesy
