Hi All:)

I purchased a Tornado-T a couple of days ago, after giving one a try in my local tobacconist.

Going great so far, and seem to be heading for about 2ml  of e-liquid a day (was a 20-25 a day roly smoker)

What is the recommended back up supply of bits and pieces required - what runs out regularly?

Finding a bit out about this stuff on this forum - but getting to grip[s with the lingo and terms as I go Smiley

Puff puff - or rather vap vap Smiley

Hello Safara and welcome  Cheesy
Glad you are enjoying your Tornado.
We use to say that you need backup of backups  Roll Eyes
It is a good idea to have like 2-3 kits to alternate between during the day.
With different flavours in to not let the tastebuds go bored.
And there is a really good idea to have at least one fresh/new backup of battery and atomizer.
If you can afford it more is better  Cheesy

Happy vaping

Hi safara
Welcome to the forum
Get yourself a supply of atomisers, nothing works without one.
Then build up the backups, warning the shiny thing syndrome can set in & you end up wanting at least one of everything, Tornado, Titan, Screwdriver, Torpedo.   Wink

Hi safara, and welcome to the forum. Smiley

As others have said, it's always a good idea to have more spares than you think you'll need.  And you want to avoid a single point of failure.  For most of us, that would be the charger, so do be sure you have more than one way to charge your batteries.  I don't know which kit you got (one or two batteries).  These Tornado batteries last a good long time between charges, so two should see you well for the near future.  I'd figure on at least two "T" attys per month, with at least one spare (more is better).  If you're estimating 2ml of juice a day, then I'd recommend keeping a minimum of 60ml of juice on hand (that will give you a one month's supply of juice on hand, which can help if there's some sort problem with the mail).  And until you know what flavors you like, you might want to get smaller quantities of different flavors to make up that 60ml.  After a while you'll figure out what your usage is for different components, and will have a better idea what to keep on hand.  But IMHO more is always better.  One thing, you need to remember that unlike analogs, you can't just pop into the corner market and get the vaping supplies you need.

Cheers, and happy vaping!

Cheers for the thoughts guys Smiley

Day 4 and very new to all of this  Tongue

OK, so, I glean that the Atty (the atomiser bit in the middle) wears out and so need replacement ones. Will get some of them Smiley

The Battery (long bit on end) stuffs up, so have a spare of that. Will get one Smiley

And the charger (the USB thing) can break - Will get another of those.

I got the kit from a tobacconist near where I live, and he has all the juices and starter kits etc, so, as long as it is opening hours, I can get stuff like liquid.

Would like to get my other half going, but she does not like the size of the Tornado-T, so looking at the Titan. Is that correct? The slimmer one?

Does it come with the Tank system, or does it have the end bit that has wadding in it?

I think I am getting the hang of the website and the products, but it is rather confusing to get a feel for what is what, if you dont know what everything is  Huh

But, there is this forum and am damn sure someone here will know Smiley

Cheers all  Cheesy

Hi safara

You can get titan tank starter kits,   only the brushed steel compact kit is available at the moment,  they are out of the full kits and some spares -  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/510-titan-tank/510-titan-tank-e-nic-compact-starter-2-product.html

All titan tank products are located here -  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/510-titan-tank-products.html

The full starter kits and extra spares should be fully restocked by the beginning of march , they are awaiting deliveries.

Another option would be the microlite -  http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/tecc-branded-goods/microlite-ecig/tecc-microlite-cartomiser-kit-black-product.html  scroll down the page for a video tutorial.

Hi Caz Smiley

Are the TECC / TW products interchangeable ? It seems that TECC make the hardware for TW.... Am I right in saying that?

What I mean, is that if I get a TECC Titan-T, would TW Atties etc and fluids work with it? The same product, just a different log?

Hi safara!

I thought I'd add my 2 cents.  Smiley

I was about a pack and a half a day on analogues when I got my tornado and now after a year with it this is my regular carry for a day because I still vape very heavy!

In my rechargeable tornado case I carry 3 batteries, 2 atomizers (1 is back-up).  In my pouch I carry the usb cord for the case and my batts w/ 4 clean cartridges & 2 flavors of juice (10ml each cause I like to share)..  This  set up gets me around w/out any worry ever.  If I decide to go out after work or something I don't have to worry about running out of anything.)

Hope that helps  Wink

TT - my nickname AND my vaping device!

« Reply #19 on: March 01, 2012, 10:53:50 PM »

Hi Safara - and welcome to the happy life of vaping Cheesy

I'm also new at this, and I must have asked the first 100 questions, but no one has ever said anything bad about it Cheesy So don't hesitate about asking Cheesy

I'm using the TT (Tornado Tank) and I have just ordered 2 more batteries, an xtra charger and a carry case Smiley

My goal is to always have 4 xtra batteries, 3 xtra chargers, as many atty's in spare as humanly possible, and then I'm going to "pimp" it a bit, when I get all the basics in order Wink Like bying other colours of batteries for when I'm at a party where there will be many other vaping-people. That way, they'll never mistake my TT for their own Wink HAHA!

But the fluids can be tricky... I'm looking at the option of mixing it myself. Cheaper and I can make it the way I like it Smiley

Hope you find your way of doing it Smiley

Congratulations once again with the vaping from Denmark Cheesy

Hi and welcome, as everybody has said it's a good idea to have a few spares in reserve, especially  atomizers as with out them you wont be vaping anything.

Well holographic sticky-backed film is not in the same league as gold-plating, but hey, it's eye-catching enough for me, and if it's gold you want, then here's one (or two) that I made earlier........ Cheesy

Caz?? You too??? You're making these wonderful things as well???

I don't own the creativity to do stuff like this... I can barely seem to get the hang of the difference between a cartomizer and a tank... I'm all de-railed (have I ever been railed, even??? Hmmmm... Nedd to investigate that one... Tongue )

I wish for one of those pretty things Cheesy
