Initial Oddysey review

i've always had just odd luck, i was going through an ego-c atty a week, with proper cleaning. it honestly seems like my ego-c uses WAY more liquid and attys than a provari at 4.2v.  I must have an odd ball style of vaping.

For me personally, you can keep high voltage vaping.... it runs through batteries faster, drinks your eliquid faster and burns out your atomiser faster.

If you can nail the right flavours for TH and nic satisfaction you can do no worse than use Tornado eGo-C's atomisers fitted to either the Odyseey, SD or a Tornado eGo-C passthrough battery

The top part of your comment is true but you will never get as satisfying of a vape at 3.7 as you do with higher voltage. I am using the torpedo right now (and many other mods) with the attachment so I can use the dual coil mega carto's and it is awsome. I also direct drip with it (both at the 6 volt setting) to each his own but until I started vaping at higher voltage that "you will feel their is something missing" and still think about analogs never went away until I upped the voltage and now I am good to go. To be honest I don't know very many people who still even vape at 3.7 with all the awsome mods and VV devices out now.

Balashark, your comment proves the 'each to his own' requirement of vaping. If VV is the only way, nothing else should sell; no Ego fans, no SD stalwarts... everyone would own twists and SD's would be sold-on by the dozen...

Also, lolling at 'awesome mods'. Yes, there are some really gorgeous looking mods out there, but you know, the mod is only ever as good as the atomiser you screw onto the end (statement excluding battery choice and your vv option for those who would want it). The rest of your choice is aesthetics, unless you'd like to attach a whistle and a banger on a key chain

I respectfully disagree, Aesthetics has nothing to do with it. I can't even begin to add up all the money I have spent on devices over the last 2 years and all of them vape differently, I have a drawer full that would keep any vapor hound happy for years.. The switch in the higher voltage devices makes a huge difference in how they perform. The Omega and Silver Bullet vape very different with the same batteries and atomizers used because of the resistance and manufacture quality of the switch. Using Totally Wickeds VV Torpedo @ 6 volts is so underwhelming compared to those two devices and I know it's because it is trying to get 6 volts out of a 3.7 volt battery. EVERYTHING MATTERS, from the switch to the attys, cartos,eliquid,batteries,device you use. I have spent an embarrassing amount of money finding the right combo for me that it has been way more expensive the last 2 years than smoking cigarettes! Like I said b4, to each his own. It took me over two years to find the right set up for me, for someone else what they like could be completely different. All of this is worth it though to not be smoking nasty cigarettes anymore and have to sit in the stinky section.

I must be just very lucky.
Odyssey, I love using it.
No problems with it other than missing spacer problems and one was delivered in 24 hrs.
No leaks and I don't use the cap on carto.
Can get through half a tank of fluid on one battery.
Today had first vape 7am, changed battery about 3 as vapour production low, and had vaped half a tank.
As said in other links, enjoyed ego-c for six months but much prefer dct now.
The dedicated odyssey dct tank being far better than other tanks.
Have no problems with having to hold at specific Angles etc.
I self Umix, about 75% pg 25% ag.
I like the fact a couple of spare batteries are easy to carry in pocket and buttons to replace,
and compared to forever filling ego 1ml tanks to swopping those couple of batteries.
I am sorry to hear other people have had problems, but am convinced this has an excellent future.
Especially given TW seem to be putting a massive effort to remedy any problems/glitches.

Thing is, you're back to VV again and it's not what everybody wants! You seem to think everyone should, but some people do actually get drawn in, try it, and walk away. Some people get exactly what they want from a device that doesn't offer VV or HV vaping . Some people do. That's great. Diversity of needs.

You were also saying that you didn't know why people still bothered with 3.7v when there were VV options and beautiful mods out there... okay, if you require a high end VV mod to suit your needs, that's what you need... but the majority of people find that a normal, non-vv, non-modded device is all they need and all they want; they don't want to buy some latest mod to keep up with trends. As you've found out, you had to wade through an awful lot of cr4p to find something that you decided was the perfect option... and still something gleaming will come along to tempt you, and you'll buy it. That's what separates the 'enthusiast' buyer from the rest of us plebs
