Hi Puff,
It looks like TW have sold out of AG currently, but you can easily make your own and very cheaply too.
The chemist will sell you a bottle of pharmaceutical grade vegetable glycerin BP (glycerol)
Be sure it's 99% pure or above, with no additives...it's sold for sore throats, coughs and dry skin conditions.
It's very thick and gloopy, so to make it vapeable you need to cut it with either distilled or de-ionised water in proportions of 85 VG/ 15 water or thereabouts. Or of course you can use good quality vodka instead of water to give a little throat hit......

pufferfish, I would like to cut pure glycerin as you instructed here with vodka for added throat hit, since I cannot use PG (allergic reaction). I'm not really a vodka person and "good quality vodka" means absolutely nothing to me. Can you suggest a brand name that is deemed to be "good quality", or it would go against forum regulations?

Thanks

Hi, I ran out of Vodka as you do! I used Bacardi instead and found it exactly the same.

Bacardi is rum and rum has sugar in it. Sugar is very bad for the coil in the atomizers. Any vodka will do just fine no matter the quality. The fact that vodka is distilled makes it ideal. The higher proof the harder the hit in theory but I've found vodka does nothing for the hit just adds a slight taste of vodka to the vapor. I cut my vg with vodka and no flavors and could taste the vodka... Maybe I could just smell it but it was there. I don't bother anymore I just crank my booster up Wink

Hi, mackimm  Smiley
It's worth looking for the highest proof (percentage of alcohol by volume) on the labels of your locally available vodkas...
If you can find 40% proof or higher then that should do the best job.
Vodka is used in preference to other spirits as it's double or even triple distilled so will have nothing in the way of impurities to clog an atty; in my understanding of it, there are sugars and colours etc in other spirits which will be likely to shorten the life of your atties....especially rum as it is made from sugar-cane.
If I'm mistaken then I'm sure someone will be along to correct me...... Cheesy

Thanks pufferfish.

Will try it out this weekend and see how it goes. I will just go for the highest alcohol content then.

I've read on the forum that Everclear Vodka comes in 190 proof and therefore has the least amount of water.   Not sure, but because of that, it may give you more throat hit.

Puffer your exactly right. Stay away from rum if you value your atty. Higher % alcohol in theory = more hit. Vodka is distilled so it's works perfect regardless of quality. Hope it works out for you.

I think I'll have to do what you suggest Pufferfish ......still more mixing  Sad
I'm bad enough at mixing the liquids as it is and I only use the VG.
"Oh! well" get used to it Teen...."short for Tina" There is no way I'm stopping
vaping now, not after last weekend. I run out of liquid so I bought the alternatives again,
they made me sick.  Shocked " You can't edit that"  Wink   After that experience I'll make sure I never run out of liquid,
attys or batteries again. I just love vaping. By the time the postman brought my
order I nearly ripped his hand off in my hurry for a vape lol.

As for using vodka I never drink or ingest any spirits, haven't done for years.
I just talk to them Cheesy
