I suspect that my 5 x Tornado battery charger is either dead or dying.  When I first plug it into the mains, all the LEDs stay red and then very gradually change colour to green.

If I wait until all the LEDs are green and the attach a 1000mah battery the battery light flashes, but then the LED stays green and then gradually changes to red.

To be honest, i've had problems with the charge adapters too, to a point where I've modded the charger to accept Tornado batteries directly (nothing electronic, I've just Cut the plastic to allow more room), but I'm unsure if the problem is with the adapter or the charger.  Out of interest, does anyone know what the adapter consists of?  Is it a solid lump of metal, or does it contain electronics?

Anyway, I'm about ready to try another 5x charger, but it does feel like I'm just throwing money at the problem.

Oh and another thing, one of my 1000mah batteries appears to be fully charged, but when I attach it to any kind of atomiser and press the button, the buttton flashes 3 times and turns off.  I assume the battery has died, but if someone could confim, I would be grateful.

Thanks

SC

Edit:  I've tried cleaning everything with surgical spirit; batteries connectors and charger connectors.

How long have you had it? i believe chargers have a years warranty on them. Might be worth giving TW a ring tomorrow.

Smiley believe me, they wouldn't accept it back.  I think "modded" is a kind description.
