Can I use a cartomizer on my ego-c

Hi everyone,
I have had a tornado ego -c for 3 days now and I have had problems with the 5 attys that were supplied with my starter kit.
Getting a really bad plastic burning taste with every vape.
Can I use the tornado mega dual coil cartomizer  with the ego-c, is it compatible?
I want to persevere with the attys but want to use the cartomizer to get a satisfying vape whilst I try to sort the atty problems.

Absolutely can. I use ce2's once in a while on mine and love em. Pick any 510 thread cartomizer and your good to go.

Hi monkyclimber, welcome to the forum

Indeed you can use any atomiser with a 510 thread fitting like the CE2's, 3's and 4's, although I am concerned you are having problems with the eGo-C.

When you fit the tank into the atomiser, make sure it is pushed in all the way, there should be no gap between the Tank and the atomiser. Also when you fill the tank make sure there is a pocket of air left in the tank otherwise you will start to get a burnt taste.

Try taking long light vapes (at least 5 seconds) and not short hard vapes, press the power button slightly before taking a vape, taking long vapes allows the vapour to develop creating a more satisfying experience.

Problems with vaping can often be down to vaping style.

Thanks guys, will look into trying a cartomizer for now.
I am newbie and will take your advise because I really was enjoying vaping until this burning taste started.
I left a gap of around 3mm when filling the tank. Do you suggest I leave more like a 5mm gap in the tank?
I felt the 2 clicks when connecting to the atty and a hole was formed in the cap.
I will try the slower controlled vapes, see if that works.

3mm gap between the top of tank and the liquid is plenty.
Every new tank needs to be pushed very hard to make the hole in the cap (first click). From then on it will click in easy. Take a decent drag first to make sure the juice is flowing. Then proceed with long slow drags varying until you find the perfect vape for you.

I also twist my tank 180 deg just to make sure the whole is open

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on my eGo-c. I have cleaned all the atomizers in neat vodka and blown them through and I am now getting a great vape once again with no burning plastic taste.

I am using this method now and am really happy again, i am currently enjoying the TW cappuccino e-juice.

I was getting frustrated with it and was going to use a cartomizer. Don't think I will bother now as it seems to be working fine now.

can you use a regular cone on the ego-c atomiser base and head?

No, the -C Cone has a ring inside it to hold the atty head in the right position and keep it in contact with the base, the standard cone is just a cone.

Yes, same tanks as the standard T-Tank atties.
