So.... I've been using my Tornado Tank for almost a week now.
Last night I noticed that the taste had changed... the "sweetness" of fluid was not what it should be. I took it all apart cleaned it out and it was alot better. Today that same burnt taste is back again.
I'll try a new tank cap/seal and see if that does it.
Is this what happens to an atomiser when it "goes bad" ? Unfortunately I don't have a spare atomiser yet to see if its the fluid that has "turned" or the atomiser thats spent.
Help?

A Tornado Tank atty should not turn bad after only one week. But Tornado Tank atties are very sensitive to being dry burnt. If you are unlucky and dry burn them the tast could linger for long time if not always. Remember the mantra always keep the coil wet is very important.

This makes vaping no longer enjoyable, it actually tastes like what I remember smoking was like.
I guess I have to buy a new one, or three.
Well that gives me an excuse to take this one apart to see how it works... what the wick is made of, etc.
Who here has ever disassembled one? Any advice?

I have its quite easy if you have a small nae, tiny flat screwdriver. Just look down the end you put the tank in and you will see a spike
at either side of the spike there is two holes
put your screwdriver in there and just brute prise it up.
When its loose you can just tip the aty up and it will fall out
The wick is one piece of some material i don't know what it is but if you hold it with tweezers in a blue gas flame it will glow red without going on fire and it will be whiter than white when all the old liquid has burned off.
You could also try the vodka trick once the spike is out. Soak the rest of the cone which houses.the coil in vodka to clean it out.
Good luck though and hope you have fun.

The other don, I have found that vapers has a lot of mantras. One of them I have mention already: Always keep it wet. Another one that is very important is: Always have backups of the backup In that way you never risk going without tools to vape with.

Well I took Daniel's advice and contacted TW's customer service... not sure if I got him or not but...but someone contacted me almost immediately.
Looks like I won't be taking this one apart afterall.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
Knoton - how exactly do you know when the coil is wet if the wick is wet...? I can "test" to see if it (the wick) is saturated by blowing through and seeing the fluid "spatter" out of the end...? One would think this would be "wet" enough to keep the coil in contact with the fluid... but hey I'm new.
Anyhow - I'm ordering a few spares... luckily the guys at work had pity on me and are giving me a "loaner" tomorrow... until I get a a spare of my own.

Just a few tips that I have picked up over the years.
When you get a really bad plasticy taste, it is because there is no liquid on the wick. If you drop a single drop of liquid onto the wick, it should taste fine after 1 to 2 pulls. If this is happening when there is liquid in the tank, it is because liquid is not coming out of the tank. Make sure the tank is in all the way, so there is no gap between the tank and the atomiser (may require a small amount of force but be careful not to damage the spike). If it is in all the way, you may have to open the little hole in the tank a bit further. When I first got my tank, I used a small screwdriver to pierce the hole, but I haven't needed to do this recently.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Casion - Is your avatar from a video game Final Fantasy?
Anyhow I'm waiting to hear back from customer service.
Can anyone recommend which atomiser to try, it was explained to me the difference between the low resistance and the regular.... but I am still uncertain as to which one is right for me.
Does anyone have an opinion as to which is "better"? (Or best for one new to vaping.) I'll likely just "get both" and figure it out, but I'd like to hear pros/ cons if you'd be willing to share that info with me.
Thanks again everyone!

Yes it is. I'm a major FF nut (sad but true).
Just stick to the regulars to start off with. I would say that LR items are for experienced vaporers. I haven't used one so I don't know if they are better or not, but the regular ones will probably give you less trouble.
