ego-c something is not quite right

Hi fellow vapors I have been vaping about a month now and have just been up the pub with my friends and vaped in public for the first time. must admit it felt strange:) but to be honest i can't seem to get on that well with tanks. Don't get me wrong i love my ego-C but it takes half a tank to get it vaping properly. I feel like i constantly have to do the few priming pulls to get it working properly. sorry if i break forum rules but my first ecig used cartomisers which one cartomiser lasted me all day. At the moment i get through 3 tanks a day!!!
What i am after is a cartomiser system that connects straight to the ego-c battery but does not increase the length or the width of the ecig itself. I know i might have to connect a original ego-T cone to the system to make it look like its normal looking. i see other forums that say get rid of the tank and fit a bode cartomiser. i notice that totally wicked don't sell these type of cartomiser. but to me its not an option to go to a different website. I live totally wicked and will only buy from them. So can anybody point me to a good cartomiser or smokemiser setup that does not change the overall look of the ego-c except for the mouth piece.

Sorry but just to add i love a good throat hit which the ego-c gives me so don't want to loose that i just seem to vape so much more juice with the tank system.

If you want something different like a catomizer you could try the ce2, ce3 or ce4.

Only reason I didn't recommend the duel coil tanks are they drink juice just like the eGo tanks.

They hold like 2.5 mls of juice so they will last quite awhile. Just slightly longer the a tornado but thats just because of the removable rubber tip, they are more like a mega sized tank. 
Cheap enough to try out without wasting much money, just keep them wet and no troubles.

Duel coil cartomizer are champs.  They tend to have massive throat hit.  Stay away from the clearomizers.  I don't understand why they're not discontinued.  By far the worst e cig product on the market.

Tornado tanks do not clog after 2 fills.  I have 3 on rotation for months and as long as they are cleaned out with hot water after each tankful they are fine. 

As for clearos and smokeys the CE2's and the CE3's are the same.  It seems to me people don't clean the hardware properly then blame it for clogging up. A bad workman always blames his tools.

I agree ce2 don't leak at all. Maybe slight condensation but NO leaks. Ce3 haven't leaked on me either.

I have tried a few things the new CE2's are alot better than the old ones, CE3's if filled correctly wont leak i did prefere these just simply as i found it was a cooler vape. I am trying the ego-C atm but i just cant seem to get on with it i to have to seem to prime it every time before i take a vape (i had the same thing with the titan tank, so im ob doing something wrong  ) and the cone gets very warm as i do vape alot 

Im now trying the DCT and after a few wicking issuies i am now finding it to be very good.

Hey Stretch you should try a true drip tip on the CE2's ... that little extra bit of length makes the hit just the right temp 
The new Ultimates are living up to there name... like them a lot.

Atomisers/cartomisers really do seem to be up to a matter of personal preference though..... kinda like shoes
There really does not seem to be one that satisfies everybody.

Luckily TW does stock a decent variety with more and more coming..... So many now they really should offer a sampler pack..... Hint hint wink wink.... tap tap tap hey is this thing on?

I still carry around a 510LR with a drip tip as a fail safe in my case. There great when trying new flavors as well.

Hi Cosmic, just a tip for those Mega dual coil cartos...
they are a huge vape but need care with the first fill to give optimum performance...
on the first fill take it very slowly and give it plenty of time to soak in...hours rather than minutes if you have the patience. I've said this before but it's worth repeating: like a new sponge, it won't absorb juice until it's been well-soaked, so if you use a measure like a pipette or syringe you'll know when it's pretty full if you can get 2.5 ml to soak in before vaping it.
Subsequent fills are just quick top-ups once the wadding is thoroughly soaked.
I still love them and use them every day alongside my eGo-C, they give huge vapour and throat hit.

I have the ego-c but tbh I prefer the cartos.
Just remember to keep them on their side for a while after filling. That way they don't leak at all.
Last all day as well. I get through two battery charges between refills.

The DCTs are great, but I find the cartomiser only lasts about 3 days before performance drops off. By contrast, CE2s (which I think are absolutely amazing and have never, ever had a leak from) last over a week and cost a lot less.

I really like the extra capacity of the DCTs but will be restricting my use of them now due to the short life of the cartomiser

ankido, once again you're offering your opinions and representing them as facts.    My opinion is that the CE3s are a brilliant vape.*  Best flavor of all but the "C"s (and some flavors even taste better in the CE3s than in the "C"s).  I don't care too much for the CE2s (although I do use them from time to time), but others love them and I would never say they weren't any good.  ankido, if you're on about the Mega Tornado attys then yes, they leak..... a lot..... but they're brilliant for DDing.  All opinions are welcome here, but let's not confuse your opinions with facts please.

jinxy, the only way you are going to know if you like something is to try it for yourself.  As I already said, some love the CE2s, but I don't get along with them too well myself.  This could be said of every device on TW's website (that some will like it and some wont').  While it's fine to read reviews and consider the opinions of others when deciding what to try next, it's important to remember that it's just that..... their opinions, and their opinions may not match your own.


* Full disclosure:  I've not tried the revised version of the CE3s, so my comments refer only to the old version..... and they shouldn't be vaped with anything that doesn't have "short protection circuitry".... unless you're willing to risk killing a battery.     See, now that's adding fact to opinion..... and clearly stating the difference between the two!

when boil washing a tornado tank how do you do it?

Jedi, this is probably more than you wanted for an answer, but here goes!   Last year (November - December), when I was a "real" newbie, I would cut and paste information from the forum that I thought would be helpful in the future and save it; because using the search engine on the forum sometimes doesn't help.    Anyhoo, here are some blurbs of information from various members on the subject:

1.  I put my attys into a small sauce pan of water and bring the water to a rolling boil.  Then let it boil for 5 minutes or so.  I only use enough water to make sure the attys are completely covered with water.  When the water starts to boil the attys will flop around in the water.  Don't know for sure if this has any effect on them but my thinking is that it helps knock off some of the crud.  After boiling for 5 minutes I use a pair of tweezers to remove them from the hot water.  I then rinse them off under WARM WATER until they are cool enough to handle.  Then I use my portable air compressor to thoroughly blow them out from both ends.  Then re prime with 4-5 drops of liquid. 

2.  I was just giving my Titan atomisers a 24 hour soak in Isopropanol which seemed to do the job pretty well, but now I also boil them for 5 mins to clear any residue left in them and then dry off in a warm place for 24 hours.  I'm still using the two original atomisers I got with the kit two months ago and they both come back to full power after this treatment.  With the isopropanol you only need a small container.  If you haven't a lid for it cover tightly with cling film to prevent evaporation. after 24 hours the liquid should change from clear to a dirty brown colour. Rinse it under the hot tap and then boil up in a small saucepan for about 4 - 5 minutes. I don't do the rolling boil as it bounces the atomiser around on the bottom of the pan - a gentle simmer seems to work. The boiling gets rid of the nasty taste left by the isopropanol.

3.  Best method I've found is to drip coca cola through it from the battery end and steep it in cola ideally for 24 hours, but overnight suffices for a lot of people. Wash clean, boil in a pan of water for just a few minutes, then run it under a hot tap (as hot as you can stand) from the battery end for a minute or two. Blow hard from the battery side to get rid of all excess water and leave to dry for a few hours. Once dry, re attach your tank and battery and (IMPORTANT) take several draws without activating the battery. If you don't do this you may be dry vaping in the first instance which can give the atomiser a burnt taste that it's almost impossible to get rid of.

4.  When I saw the coca cola method I was really dubious about it myself. However, coca cola is better than almost every chrome cleaner on the market (seriously - it's a trick of the trade in some car body shops) and it really does loosen up all the grime that naturally builds up inside the atomiser depending on what flavour you use. Boiling further loosens the gunk and helps some of it to escape, then the final running through with hot water makes sure all traces of it are gone.  Cola cleans but doesn't seem to corrode for some reason! I have no idea of the science behind it, I just know it really works. Have a look on YouTube (in fact here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuUkOj4ArjQ) - there's many examples of this cleaning method and it's widely accepted as one of the best ways to deep clean and extend the atomiser's life.
