I have searched the forum and watched quite a few u-tube videos, but can't seem to find an answer.   I've been on this forum long enough to know you are not going to think me stupid, right?

I started with the Tornado in mid October and then bought the eGo-c almost a month ago.   I really don't know if I am having leaking problems or if what happens is normal.

After about 20 draws on both my Tornado and eGo-C, I pull out the cartridge and there is liquid on the outside of the cartridge.   Not a lot, but some spots of it and when I look down into the atomizer by the spike, there is basically what I would identify as condensation (tiny spots of liquid).    I can also see larger spots of liquid on the inside cone of the atomizer.   I wish I could post a photo of it, but I just can't seem to figure out how to post photos on here!

I can tell you that my cartridges are placed all the way down onto the atomizer spike.   I just tried a brand new silicone caps (which is what I always use) to make sure it wasn't a cap issue.   I take long, slow draws, so I don't think it's that.   I don't think I could take any slower draws!

Sooooooooooooo, my question is:   is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Just got off the phone with TW and according to them it is normal!  So, I guess I'm glad I haven't been doing something wrong for 3+ months!   Grin

Hi Lettie  Smiley
The design of the tanks is quite clever IMHO...you can see that when you fill a tank, the only place the juice can escape is through the hole in the tank cap, which is pierced by the atty spike and the juice is then fed onto the coil by the wick cunningly contained in the spike.
the grooves in each side of the tank are channels through which your vapour is pulled from the atty cone, up through the mouthpiece. Some condensation forms here and that's the spots of moisture you can see... the little baffle below the tip prevents condensation from being pulled into your mouth along with the vapour, but this will collect moisture over a period of time, depending on how hard your draw of course.
You can remove the mouthpiece tip and the tiny baffle below and use a cotton bud to dry out this chamber whenever necessary.
Yup, normal  Grin

It's a fact of hot vapour meeting with a cooler surface, the vapour condenses back into eliquid, as Puffer says the condensation on the tank cartridge can be draw into the mouthpiece through the air channels on the cartridge, when you refill the tank it is a good idea to hold the tank in a piece of paper towel and clear these air channels by blowing through the mouthpiece allowing the paper towel to soak up any condensation before re-installing the tank into the cone.

In CE3's and CE4's this condensation forms in the central tube, again this can be cleared by blowing through the mouthpiece after refilling and before re-fitting to the battery. On CE2's the condensation will form in and beneath the mouthpiece.

thanks Puffer and Astrecks.   I was pretty sure that this was normal, but I too thought "oh no," (like Knoton) when I got the response from CS!
