Hey all!  So I am excited to be a new E-cig user but I am having a dilemma.  I started with the Blu E-cigs a few weeks ago figuring it would be a cheap way to start by picking up the diposable menthol ones they sell in the local pharmacies and have enjoyed it better than expected and have not picked up a real cig since.  So I finally stepped up and got a Torpedo Tank E-Cig and stopped by a local shop that makes there own juice.  I love how easy it works and easy to maintain but am having an odd taste/aftertaste with it followed by a dry throat feeling from it.  Is this normal?  I tried the Blu disposable again and do not get the same effect.  I checked with the shop and they told me the juice is a menthol flavor made with 100% vg @18mg nicotine.  Any help?

It may be the fluid. Try a different one, from somewhere different. What I make on my own and TW's is 80% pg. It may just take some getting used too also. I had a scratchy throat for a couple days when I started vaping. Order a small cheap bottle of menthol off here and see if its any different. If your getting a burnt taste you may be getting a dry hit. Check the forums on here for hints and tricks.

i think that Titan Menthol is the best menthol ejuice on the planet.  i am sure there are others here that will agree.

You may have to take slightly harder draws as VG is thicker than PG and I don't know how much thy thinned it. I say this because I think the atty is running a bit dry at times. A harder draw will bring more juice to the coil keeping it saturated.

VG is also known for absorbing moisture so drinking plenty of fluids while vaping is recommended.

Most pre-mixed e-liquids are about 80-90% PG, yours is 100% VG so the difference taste wise would be very noticeable also.
VG is much smoother than PG and creates much more vapor.

Hope this helped a bit.

+++1 to Titan menthol = awesome!

I have to say that I have been taking smaller and smaller draws once the soarness started but thanks to the advice and I tried a bigger draw and it made a difference.  Thanks!  I still have some soar throat feeling but the hit is a little smoother....  I am attributing some of the soar throat from quitting analog cigarettes(think that is the right term) and I am also trying to up my H2) intake along with starting some Apple cider vinegar to help cleanse a little..  Going to look into buying some juice from here and some other places to get a better idea of the whole picture!
