Tornado eGo-C is going very well

Hi, I'm new to vaping and haven't ordered my first e-cigarette yet...I'm waiting for the new Tornado ego-c to come in stock in black. But I was curious as to what strength e-liquid I should go for. I know I can try it and see, but I thought I'd ask the forums.
My current smoking habits are somewhere between 10 to 12 American Red Tobacco Lights (or Golds) on a normal day, and more when I'm on a night out or when alcohol is involved. So what would more experienced people suggest, both in terms of the hit and the overall nicotine intake (assuming that I vape as much as I smoke)?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers Scotty

I'd suggest staring at 11mg. If you get the kit it comes with pre filled carts of different strengths to try out and see which is best for you.

+1 what Rtsjr said! You'll probably just find you vape more when out drinking with friends.

Hi Scotty Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest staring at 18mg simply to get the wow factor that e-cigs really work. Going by experience anyone who has tested out my kit & then converted to e-cigs did so after trying some of my high nicotine liquid the medium simply didn’t impress at all. They wanted something with a kick to sort of out do the analogues.

If you want to see the "wow" factor without wasting money on juice that's to much for you I could send you a sample of 36mg!

My friends reaction to 36mg absinthe at 6v was ohh my god it even comes with a cough. He immediately got me to order him a Torpedo & took some of my liquid hostage. He is loving it.

Agreed. Even when I first tried it after a year on 18mg it still made me say WoW! But I still have the bottle as 36mg I can only handle couple puffs at a time or I get a migrane.

On the other hand I started on 11mg and now I'm very happy with 16-20mg. What I did was find the one that would give me "my perfect nic high" with taking 10~ puffs within 5 minutes. That's my highest chain vape rate and seems to suit me well all around.

Vapeing is strange isn’t it. By reading this forum it appears that most people like to start the day with a high strength liquid & cut down through the day, whereas I start low & go up. I think that’s why it can be hard to give advice as everyone has a unique approach. Finding out what is best for you is half the fun although others can think it's frustrating.

I'm with you on that one. If I have a lower mg mI'd handy I'd rather vape that and the higher mg mixes later on. I work my way up throughout the day. As it starts to get late (or when done gamin) I slow down my vaping to relax me. Again on the other hand the wifey likes to chainvape a bit (by bit I mean lots) before bed!

Spot on cyborg it's very strange reading the forums, I am a strange beast I can go from vaping 4mg to 18mg very quickly. I do prefer to vape low mg in the morning then go up to 12mg in the evening, I will normally go to 18mg when I am drinking or hungover.

Thank you all for your advice and comments. It's all very useful. It's clear that everyone has a unique approach and something I really need to work out for myself, I agree. It's good that the starter kit comes with different strengths in order to give it a try, so as I begin my transition from smoking to vaping, I can try different things...and if I need to smoke a little through this period, then so be it...I see this as a long term solution, not a short term fix. It makes sense in my head to start with a higher strength, say 18mg, because from a psychological perspective I need to "feel" the nicotine from vaping to prove to my head that it works. I probably think that 11mg is where I need to end up in the medium term though, cutting down over time.
I'm interested to hear that some people change strengths through the day, be that high-to-low or low-to-high...I hadn't considered this as an option for some reason...sounds obvious I guess, and something I'll certainly have a go with.
And Rtsjr, if you're happy to provide a 36mg sample then I would love to try it out for size. How do we go about that?
And the best news today is that the Tornado eGo-C in black is now in stock...buy buy buy!
Thank you everybody for your help...you've really helped to form my thoughts on vaping.

I vape 18 mg all day But I have been getting into the chainvaping thing... Mainly when I'm sitting amongst smokers But if I'm reading a book (or a rather long post here on this forum) I tend to just have the damn thing clued to my mouth Taking a puff onve a minutes or so... LOL It is really a strange thing. It's like fashion = You can't expect everybody to like the same things That's why I've made my Tornado my new fashion thing I use it to accessorize my self It suits my outfits If I'm wearing a blue shirt, then my DCT will be blue If I'm wearing pink, my battery will be pink too I'm loving this, and it's much cheaper to do it like this, than buying a scarf that would fit the damn shirt

Me, I usually have about .10ml of 18mg strength first thing in the morning. Now vaping 12mg throughout the day, except when I'm drinking -- I go down to about 6mg strength cause I find myself chain vapin!

I third, fourth, or what ever number we are on now, cyborg. 18mg is middle of the road. I started on the 24mg red label tobacco.
I only used that before getting some proper liquid ordered that was of some flavour.
When I ordered that it was at 18mg and I haven't moved. If however you find 18mg too strong it can easily be diluted to a lesser strength or when you re order you know you need something a little lower.
Go too low to begin with you will just feel your lacking something too high and you will hate it and not enjoy it.
With 18mg even if its too high, you will still be able to use it until a lesser strength is ordered anything higher and you will have a banging sore head.
