I love the Screwdriver MK II, when it works, it works fantastic, and I absolutely LOVE totally wicked. They have some of the best customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life. We received our screwdrivers around March 1st. It seems like every few days or so my husband or I encounter major problems, with inconsistencies in between. Today it's my turn, apparently. No vapor, no taste, no throat hit pretty much all day today. I cleaned the contacts, those were fine, I blew through the battery end (using the Tornado T atomizer and cartridge) and made sure everything there was straight... still not working. When I press down the button, I get NO vapor for 5-7 seconds. Like, whole seconds  Cry Also, battery is not an issue. I am not leaking. Two days prior and yesterday everything was fine. First few pulls this morning were fine. I don't know what happened.  Cry  I have been scouring youtube and ecig forums for two days now. I wasn't aware that totally wicked had a forum until this evening.

Thank you!

Hiya MissNykki, I've put togther a list of things for you to look for/try

1) Have you tried a different atomiser, you've had it 20 days and depending upon how much you vape and what you vaping style is, it might be on its last legs
2) You say the battery is fine, but have you checked it with a multimeter fresh from a charge, if it's not charging properly and reaching full capacity that might be the problem
3) Have you taken the battery out and looked at the spring inside at the atomiser end, is it bright and well springy (lol), or is it grey and recoiled up? If it is the latter you've had a short, possibly from either the battery or the atomiser, you can sometimes prise this spring back into place, but that doesn't cure what caused it. It might be worth giving CS a ring as a Screwdriver shouldn't be playing up that early in it's career.

Hope that helps

This is a simple point but may have been missed

When charging the battery you MUST plug the adapter into the wall socket BEFORE putting the battery in or it won't charge although the light on the charger will look like it is. So you end up with a dead battery. Which would work for about 2 uses then nothing

Also what atomizer you using? If its a 901 its easy to see if its working as when you push the power button it will glow red don't do it long though or you will just burn it

If its a tornado atty it could be a connection issue. The little pin hole under the atty where the threads are to screw it onto the screwdriver might not be connecting. If you get a paperclip straighten it then put the straightened end inside that pin hole, not far then pull it down and try pull the pin as well. It probably won't even look like its moved but it will by a fraction of a millimeter which will be enough to make the connection again. It does happen from time to time especially with cleaning the atty you can push the pin inside up every so slightly then it won't connect using the paperclip to try pull it just a fraction gets it connecting again

Let us know how you get on

Hi MissNykki
Welcome to the forum
Take the button off, clean the threaded post and inside the hole on the bottom of the SD, dirt can collect there but not be obvious.

So sorry that I wasn't on yesterday. The battery is/was charged, I had been playing around with 3 different 901 atomizers.. From the very beginning my husband and I tried to do the glow test, neither of us have seen it lol. We really don't need to though, we can just listen to see if it is working or not.Neither of the springs were coiled up into the device. It seemed that tightening the manual button at the bottom did the trick. My husband and I are starting to get the hang of this I think. I had one atomizer go dead on me but that was completely my fault, I was keeping the button pressed down for a long time because that was the only way I could get a good hit. It was the switch being too loose then too.. what's been happening was that I'll go to take a puff and it takes 7 ish seconds for any vapor to start going anywhere, so on the first atomizer I just kept the button held down... a lot. Lesson learned!!  At first I was intimidated by the SD (my husband and I's first try at this whole vaping thing) because of all the parts, but as I'm learning about it, I'm glad for all the parts because it's easier to deduce what is happening. Does anyone have any ideas about how to keep the manual switch from losing its contact with the whole battery mechanism?

Use a real screwdriver down the tube of the SD, hold the button firmly and tighten with the screwdriver

Glad you got it sorted nykki just as cyborg says tighten up the button just don't torque it on though as you can pull the black plastic off the metal if you force it too much

And over all just regular maintenance of it give it a good once over every week and it will last you a life time as allure of the SD is its simplicity and performance without any electronic regulating so little can actually go wrong with them plus with adapters there is little that you can't screw onto it

Thank you! Oh, and cyborg? Voyager is my fave star trek series :-D  Was one of the things that bonded my husband and I when we first met.  My husband and I got our clearomizers today. We decided to check out something else because although we loved the T tank system with the SD, it wasn't quite the best "fit" for us. I honestly think that I sucked with the whole t tank atomizer thing... I had read SO many conflicting things on maintenance. Also, on my first atomizer (because of the whole manual button spring issue that I did not understand, plus I was walking my dog and I lost the button and the spring in the grass somewhere :-(  ) because I wasn't getting anything to turn on/heat up for a good 5+ whatever seconds, I would just leave the button held down, or I would prop it on the table to have it half held down for several mins at a time because I didn't know any better.

I've read some 'stories' that people have had when they had and destroyed their first atomizer.

~Oh, and our clearomizers got here with the quickness. Magical.  Tongue

How are you finding the clearomiser?
They are my weapon of choice, easy to refill and can be refilled many times so a pack of 5 will last of a month and they're on yoyo at the moment.

I absolutely love it. I get better taste from the juice, it's consistent, I can see how much juice I have left, and great vapor. I was hesitant about them because of the whole syringe thing... Syringes happen to make me uncomfortable lol. But seeing as it's the non-stabby kind, and that refilling is pretty easy and not messy, I can gladly get used to the whole syringe concept. Now I just have to figure out how to get the juice from my tank carts into the clearomizer without the whole plunger part and I'll be good. What I've been doing is filling all the tornado carts I have with juice, and then when I get done with one I refill it with what was in there and chose another from my arsenal of fruity goodness. So I have 8 tornado carts and 5 clearomizers  Shocked. Now, I see the whole concept of the YoYo stuff, but I see that the 'countdown timer' thing is going UP, not counting down...why is that?

Lol i have an aversion to needles so i just told myself it wasn't sharp and that's fine.
I believe the yoyo counter goes up as its telling you how long its been at that discount as it could be there for between 10 and 30 minutes so if its at 29 minutes its really not going to be there for long.you have 20 minutes from adding to your basket to check out and pay otherwise it disappears.

Good to know, thank you very much, dear sir! What is your favorite atomizer/cartomizer ...uh.. preference? I've been looking at those tankomizers for a few days now and the more I stare at them the more I like them. I like not having to refill stuff for a while. I also love that I keep all of my stuff and my liquids in the SD box that it came in... so every time I open the box I get smacked in the face with the sweet fruity aroma of my meticulously labeled and filled carts haha. Cool I absolutely LOVE the packaging...I almost want to ask if I could buy like 5 off of them so that I can put stuff in them like jewelry or something

I swear by clearomisers, i tried a dct but never really got on with it although you can get them that hold 6ml of juice,i did also look at the tankomiser but i don't think it fits the sd, maybe someone else could help you there.
As for labels and stuff that seems slightly ocd and i am unfortunately far far from that much to my wifes annoyance!!!

Oh that's because I've had too many concussions so I don't really have a sense of smell like most people seem to have, and I've been smoking analogs for 13 years give or take. Half of my hearing in my right ear is gone too, I thought combining gymnastics with dancing would be fun when I was a young teenager  Tongue  But my sense of taste is fine. Another reason that I label them is so that I can just grab the flavor I pre-filled and throw it in. I didn't at first, and then I saw my husband taking the caps off of each cart and smelling them to figure out which one is which, then re-smelling just to make sure. I'm too impatient for all that. It also has to survive rolling around in my box  Smiley  Just a tiny small red square with an abbreviation of the juice with a pen and some cheap clear tape. It took just a few short minutes

I've noticed since I started using the clearomizer that the rubber mouth tip gets hotter than the clearomizer. It's not a problem or anything, I just think that the whole mechanism is fascinating.

Its because the atomiser is placed at the top of the clearomiser instead of the bottom like the atomiser you got with the kit,i think it makes the taste so much smoother this way.

atomizers wimp off quickly.. its one of the common causes of lack of performance.. they lose efficiency long before they die.. my advice is to buy them cheap and change them often..

long ago we used to advise two weeks if anything i would say one week given heavy use.. a new atomizer is the best performance boost you can get..

Still looooving the clearomizer.  Every once in a while I get a drop  of liquid on my lips though...then I'm like ackkk ewwwwwww. What my husband said about the clearomizer: "This is the experience I've been wanting"  It was so commercial-ly the way he said it but I happen to agree. Is the smokymizer any different, or just the way it sounds?

Never got on with the smokeymiser,i had 5 of them from yoyo and only got 1 of them to fill with out leaking, theses a way of doing them on YouTube but even then it don't always work!
You get good vapour from it but i like the atomiser at the top so its smoother, its at the bottom with the smokeymiser.

I should be getting them this week, I hope it all turns out well! Still loving the clearomizers, I figured I would order some smokymizers and see how that goes. These clearomizers work really well and definitely having a better vaping experience with them. I put on my old t tank atty and cart just for fun, and it just wasn't the same as the clearomizers.

Good luck x

Hey! I did just what you suggested and saw some videos on how to fill it. Worked great, so thank you! I love the throat hit off of the smokeymizers. I've found that there are things that I love about the tornado atomizers, clearomizer, and smokeymizer respectively. So I find myself bouncing between all 3. I found that when I get down to the last little bit on the smokeymizers it tends to leak a little bit. I love those yo-yo sales! I get to try stuff out at a discounted price and then if I love it I can just order more.
