Hiya braincandy1, welcome to the forum. Sorry you've had problems. When you say the charger broke all your batteries, can you be a bit more specific.... did it kill them completely, won't hold a charge, won't go to full charge etc? The biggest problem with all the chargers is if people overtighten the batteries onto them, that can damage the charger and the battery, next biggest problem is dirty connections, wether juice has leaked into the threads or other gunk, it's surprising how much can build up, and it only takes a little to ruin the connection. Another problem with the USB chargers is they can get stuck in a cycle and not charge the batteries although the red light is on.... that can normally be solved by leaving the battery connected, unplugging the charger from the USB port and then plugging it back in again. Hope you get your problems sorted out.
That's really interesting Stevie. My USB charger (which I love!) has stopped charging batteries fully. They charge for a short time then it appears they are fully charged but they aren't. When I unplugged it in disgust the other day it seemed to work after that. I was thinking the threads were all gunked up but maybe your 'stuck in a cycle' theory was the problem.
BTW is there a good way to clean the threads? It's kinda tricky to get to them.
