Ok so I have been mixing my own liquid for about 2 weeks now.  I have found that out one PI bottle I made about 100ml (+/- 10ml) of 12mg juice.  I think my drops are wrong.  I am using the 5ml droppers from TW for my PG and AG.  I use the concentrates in what ever bottle they came in.  I use the dropper that comes with the PI bottle for the Nicotine liquid.  My questions are...  how many drops from the TW 5ml bottles are in one ml and how many drops from the TW dropper are in one ml?

I think those pipettes are about worthless for mixing.  I use them just for filling up my dropper bottles with PG or AG.  I would use a syringe but you need a script to get those in NY.  However I have been able to get some oral syringe.  (Good for large batch but not small testers.)

I was going to cap off the end of an oral syringe and use that to measure how many drops are in one ml by putting drops in through the plunger end.  I was unsure if the tip counted though so I abandoned that idea.  Does the tip of the syringe count?

So hear I am.... asking how many?

Ah I think you've used big drops of the PI juice and small ones of the flavours and the little bottles.  The big ones are about 1.5 times the little ones.  There was a thread on this here:

Hope it helps.

Hello

I stopped using the 'drop' method as it didn't end up well for me , either to weak/strong both in flavour or nicotine level so I placed an order from
dealextreme for syringes graded 2,5ml and 10ml the smaller one has 0.5ml grades and the bigger comes with 1ml grades

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/hd-medicinal-safety-disposable-syringes-2-5ml-4-pack-21573 1.60$
 and
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/hd-safety-disposable-medical-syringes-10ml-2-pack-22303 1.42$

tho i don't know what customs says about china import to the US , but I'm for sure are pleased with em

Ok so I measured and found that the bottles give me about 30 drops just as the cook book said.  So i suppose that a 30ml bottle of PI will mix about 100ml of 12mg juice.  Does that sound about right?  Not according to my math.
30ml @ 54mg = 90ml @ 18mg  and  30ml of  54mg = 135ml of 12mg  right?  I came out in the middle

If you use the Tw cookbook calculator that automatically accounts for the difference in dropper sizes though right?  Or am I mistaken and my juices nowhere near the nicotine levels I think they are?

Well, it does if you select the correct dropper for each liquid you're working with.  In addition, if you want to take the time and go to the bother of measuring the droppers that you're working with, you can specify any amount of drops/ml that you like.  Really a great job that.  Thanks wabbittdevs Smiley

I get 135ml too because each ml of your liquid contains 54mg so you get 1ml of 12mg by taking 12/54ths of a ml (0.22ml or just under 7 small drops) and making it up to 1ml with your flavour and dilutant.  Thats the theory.  In practice, mixing small quanties in a tank cart, say, like I do, you'd use 7 small drops of PI made up to 30 drops volume with everything else, and actually get 12.6mg strength and make 128.57 ml (30x30 / 7).  Grin

I think what I am going to do is use the dropper bottles for everything.  I will just put some of the PI in a 5ml bottle.  Then all drops will be equal and make it a little easier on the Crayon wedged in my brain.  I will try to order some leur lock syringes off the web and use those for mixing large batches.

Cheers

I use the little dropper bottles for everything too.  They are a nice size for making up tank-sized batches.  Grin

i stopped using the droppers altogether , i bought a small baby spoon, the kind you can lay flat on the table. it is 10ml,and i mix in it.its use is to give babies liquid meds,so its easy to pour into a bottle once you mix is completed . i picked them up at the local supermarket, and they come in a set of 2 for $2.49. i find i get the right mixed strength , and its so easy to use. way to many differences in the different droppers.

Bingo! that's what I do, except I have 15ml bottles, it's a great way of making small batches quickly, no mess, no having to clean syringes etc.

To make a mix at 12mg strength using PI 54mg PG based with 20% flavour with 20% VG would be:

22 drops of PI 54mg
38 drops of no nicotine PG
20 drops of VG or AG if you have thinned the VG with deionised or distilled water. (bare in mind that undiluted VG, because of its viscosity will produce larger drops, even from the same type of dropper bottle)
20 drops of flavour

Total drops = 100.

1 drop = 1%  each drop  of PI is equal to 0.54mg, so 22 x 0.54 = 11.9mg

Using drops for small batches is reasonably accurate, but you would need proper graduated measuring equipment to make larger batches though  Undecided

I need a digital syringe for mixing ... the drop method is ok but thats probably because I only mix 5mls at a time per flavor. Id like to mix up 30mls of my 555 but dont have the patience for the drops and how do you get .66ml in a syringe or other method ... Im retarded though so the answer is probably very very simple

Well there are two options.  You can purchase a VERY EXPENSIVE graduated syringe.  Or you can use a diabetic insulin syringe.  They are marked from .2 to .9.  So basically you would use one syringe to add the 6ml and then the insulin syringe to add the .6.  Or you could geesstamate.  .6 would be a touch over 1/2ml.  But I like the insulin syringe.  It's more accurate

I got a 1ml syringe from my local pharmacy, It has marks for 0,01ml so I think it's quite accurate Cheesy
The syringe cost me 45 cents so it's not a big cost. I use it to make 5ml and 10ml batches.

I finally gave up the dropper and started using a pipette (actually 2, a 1ml and a 2mm) and a pipette pump... consistency at last!
