Hi all,
I can't believe what I've just realised, maybe you have too but for some I doubt.
For a long time now I have taken 3 atty's out with me when I go out, for variety of flavours. Quite often, when I took an atty off the SD, the adapter came off with it. V annoying. So, I started to tighten the adapter on with a pair of pliers. Not too tight, but enough so that it wouldn't come off with the atty.
Anyhow, since doing this, I have had a couple of occasions whereby the atty's thread became "broken" (or so I thought), so that it was rendered useless.
Luckily I never threw these attys away.
I was about to write a post on here asking if anyone else had had this problem and if there was a solution, when I remembered something that happened last christmas. I received an order of ten tornado-t's and the first one I tried just went round and round, as if the thread were broken in some way. Someone on here said they had the same problem and that it was the thread from the adapter had got stuck in the atty. I phoned TW as it was nearly xmas and they sorted me with a new adapter. From then on I have had a spare adapter in my cupboard.
I decided to give my "broken" atty a go on a new adapter, and hey-ho, it works!! It also works on all those other "broken" attys that I didn't throw away. Having looked at my old adapter I can see that it is scored around the sides.
So, if you're having trouble screwing your atty onto your SD, chances are it's not the expensive atty, but the relatively cheap adapter
Good news huh!

On this subject, I see the conversion kit is no longer in stock (and wonder if it will return), so is there actually an adapter available separately for running the eGo-C on the SD?

Are you talking about the same adapter that will connect the eGo-C to the SD? If so, can you give the link to the adapter you are talking about because I can't see it.

Or... Bare with me now....
Use two of those adapters! Or one of those and a 510 charging adapter!

OK, I'm not even going to ask if two of those adapters can be joined together, nor what the dickens an 510 charging adapter is

The original 901 thread (as found on the SDMkII) to 510 thread (as found on the Titan/Tornado) was made so you could fit 510 atomisers to the SD MkII, this was before the tank system was dreamt up, and is around 1/16" too short for the recessed thread on the Tornado Tanks, in the absence of the conversion kit I linked to in the earlier post you could buy a standard non tank adapter and on to this you could fit a Tornado Mains Charger Extender and in this way fit a Tornado Tank or Tornado eGo-C Tank atomiser to your SD MkII. It would look pretty odd, but it works!

You know what? That could have been why I had the problem in the first place, I had the wrong adapter on! I think. Now I'm more confused than ever. Jeddy 3
