Got my silver SD this morning, put the battery on charge and it finally went green ten minutes ago so I popped it in and the overall performance is shocking. I'm using a tank conversion with both a brand new DCT and an Ego-C with fresh atomiser. I thought it might be dodgy atomisers or maybe I was expecting too much, but I stuck them both on an Ego-C battery (Which is severely underperforming after nearly three months of non stop usage) and the vape is perfectly fine on there.

Any suggestions for what to try?

Have you cleaned all the threads on the switch, body and atty connection, the body of the switch and the hole it runs through? Even a little oil/grime can make a world of difference to the current flow.

Yeah, tried that straight away.

I think it's the battery. I just tried the other battery that came with the kit and the difference is night and day. Gonna give the first battery another charge and see if that is any help.

Sounds like a duff battery - a fresh battery in an SD should outperform an eGo

With you on that one prof, it’s a dud.
A fresh battery on an SD definitely outperforms an eGo

Well the one battery is definitely duff.

How long do SD batteries usually last? I know the website says 8-12 hours but that hardly a reliable figure. My current 'decent' battery is only going for about 4 hours before severely dropping off.

I would say if you are an "average" vaper (say 2.5-3ml of juice per day) an 18350 (SD 2 size) battery will last around 4 or so hours before dropping off

Ummm,I am currently getting 8/9 hours out of my battery,i go  through a clearomiser and a half every night. Shift so that's 8 hours plus the battery is in an hour before i leave for work.
Obviously it gets weaker as the night goes on but i get a full nights vaping from 1 battery
