The 5 901 carts that came with my Screwdriver dont seem to fit quite right. Some are really loose and just slide off the atty, while 2 of them are really tight, and are hard to click in. I ordered some carts and spare attys from the TW site. I was hoping they may be built to tighter tolerances. Is this normal with 901 carts/attys? My 510 stuff always fits perfect. Of course, the screwdriver itself is perfect in every way

Leathermonkey.......this can be a problem.. ..however the tight carts do loosen up in time.... I think you can use the 501 carts on the 901 atomiser.....

And the tight ones will eventually become as loose as the ones that just slide off. I make it a practice to order a few carts when I order juice, whether I need 'em or not.

Thanks for the responses. The 510 carts have been fitting so well on the 510 attys, time after time, that I have been washing them and refilling them with fluval when they get worn out, to save money. Sounds like once the 901 carts have been used a bit, and get loose, I should just chuck em and replace with a new one. Tried the 510 carts on the 901 atty. Some fit, some dont... grrr. I bought a 510 adapter for my SD, but perfer the 901 atty, because it doesnt seem to "cook" the fluval, (making the juice just puddle up on top, when topping off). I suppose nothing is perfect

I tend to just throw my cartridges away and use a new one when they get a bit tired - they're not particularly expensive and it's easier than messing about cleaning them! On my Titan, I used a new one every day, but with my SD it seems a bit gentler on the cartridges so I may change it every other day

I've found that even new ones are often too loose, especially the ones that come with new atomisers, but that may be just coincidence. I've found a simple little cure. I held a small watch screwdriver over a gas flame (making sure the handle was wrapped of course) and dug it into each side of the cart. As it melts into the plastic, it puts a little ridge all round the indentation just enough to make the cart snug. this worked perfectly on my first attempt. Others may have done this but I haven't found it on the forum anywhere

The carts that came with my MKII were all to fat to be seated, although they fit snug on my Titans.

Evo carts used to come loose after awhile, so we used to heat up a pin and score the inside of the cart...made them a tight fit again....

I noticed this too with the 901 carts. The pin trick should work good. I've never tried it. I've done the needle nose pliers and bent the edge a little so it will fit snug without falling out.

There is also the Basic Pliers Mod.... Just give the end of the loose cart a squeeze with a pair of pliers to SLIGHTLY deform it off the round and then it should fit snugly.

LOL DaveHHH, I always prefer simple and non technical if possible. Perhaps that's why I love my SD so much?
